That fact that he couldn't respect your decision and began calling you out of your name made him the wack f*ck n*gga if you ask me. He's immature, and at 25 years old he's getting a little too old for that. If you watch xtube at anytime you'll see alot of these dudes just do not care at all.

Finally saw the movie, and yes, it was ALL THAT. Loved it as much as CA2. It's just (slowly backs away and ducks behind the sofa to avoid the thrown bottles), I'm just not all that crazy about Black Panther as a character. I've already stated I'm Falcon stan, so admittedly I'm biased. After I went to college and made real friends from the continent, I tend to look at made-up African stuff (cough, cough...Kwanzaa..cough, cough) like Wakanda with a cold eye. I know, I'm thinking WAY too hard about a comic book movie!
Plus, I just hate all kings and monarchies; black, white, African, European, Asian, don't matter. I used to hate those Budweiser posters in college. "We were kings and queens in Africa before slavery!" No, we weren't. ONE person was king, the rest of us were the king's footstool. I guess that's part of my BP lukewarmness. As Eric Idle's peasant character said in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, "How do I know he's a king (Arthur)? He ain't got shiit all over him like we do!" lol
So, all that to say: MORE FALCON SOLO MOVIES DAMMIT!!!
So glad that Anthony Mackie got a great gig these days. Makes up for his having to suffer through Spike Lee's "She Hate Me"!alton, Discordant, DreG and 1 other person dapped this. -

Can the same be said for the regular, degular, shemegular dude....I'm tired of meeting someone who says, "yes I'm Black, but my great-great grandmother twice removed on my adopted sister side was Dutch & French so I'm a little mixed."

If you think you'll want to be intimate with this person, it's better to bring the subject of sex up in a space that's nurtral. On the phone or on the freeway in the car, not pulled over behind the abandoned Burger King. This lowers the expedition so it doesn't seem like you are asking these question now to immediately roll into the sack.
Talk generally and then build up to it. It shouldn't be the first question. "How important is sex to you? Is penetration a requirement for you to consider sexual activity actual sex? What do you enjoy sexually?" You want to think about it as a line of questioning than just one question.
You'll get your answer that way by framing it and it won't sound so crass.
Things don't have to be so polarized, as a verse guy, I just need to know if you are verse. Be verse top or verse bottom if you want to call it that but to me, verse is verse. Some men don't like penetration at all, receiving or giving so those are things to be considered as well.DreG, bisonboy, Tyroc and 1 other person dapped this. -

Brazil is one of my favorite travel destinations. While African culture is celebrated in parts of the state of Bahia, Brazilians are some of the most color struck people that I've ever met. I have never heard so many words for different shades of brown (Black Brazilians reportedly exist, but they're an elusive bunch.).
I am a dark skinned guy who proudly embraces his Blackness, which as an American visitor has lead to some strangely entertaining experiences given the dominant Brazilian culture. My Portuguese is elementary (think of a preschooler) so I am quickly identified as an American. I find that many fair skinned Brazilians will refer to themselves as people of color when talking to me, but would never claim such an abomination if they were talking to another Brazilian or a white visitor. In restaurants and stores, I find that the fair skinned employees go out of there way to treat me like a special visitor.
By contrast, I've had Brazilians who are my complexion tell me that I need to beware of the police, service sector employees etc. since I am Black and not chestnut colored like the person speaking to me. WTF?!? It truly can be too many things… I've even met blue-Black Brazilians who claim not to be Black.
In recent years, there's been a fledgling "Black power" movement in Brazil so I would encourage as many American Brothas as possible to visit so that the Brazilian population can see that we and their Black heritage are the sh*t!grownman, Jaa, Cyrus-Brooks and 1 other person dapped this. -

I understand the workers reaction. This globalization, post industrial, neo-liberal, economy is designed to make the average man and woman in the "first world" into 3rd world peasants. Political and social elites have been selling us on this "free trade" bullshit since the 1970s the results have been disastrous for most of us. But there is a reason this is happening. It's designed to give the ultra wealthy complete and total control over the population. Call it plutocracy or neo-feudalism. But whatever you call it the results are the same. Bernie Sanders is one of the few people in politics fighting against this or even talking about it.

Yeah, I could, me and my ex became roommates towards the end of the relationship. We weren't doing anything except maybe a peck here and there. Symbolically, that's damn near close to not having a erection for 1.5. years.

Hmmm...my first REAL boyfriend...I was 36. That relationship taught me that when I look for someone who is independent (one of the boxes that I try to have checked on my list of things I look for in a dude), I really mean that doesn't mean someone who has his own car or even home (even though that helps), but that they have their own money. I don't mind picking my dude up and even bringing him back to my home, but I shouldn't have to pay for dinner, movie, and the drinks too.

But this is an example of how you can't change who you are. There's no praying the gay away. It's hard coded into your DNA.

"First, I completely disagree with Octavius. If you're not attracted to him don't block somebody else who may be. People don't change. I was in this situation with a dude for over 6 years till i came to that realization. You have to be able to accept him for who he is today.
Second, What if he ever reads this post? This shallow post will break that man."
I so agree with you.
I was just going to ignore this thread- but I thought about my former relationship.
My ex had issues with his weight as well. I, like you loved the convos, hanging out, he's handsome and we were/are music lovers. I thought that I was in love with him. We moved into together about 2 months after meeting. I was staying with my mom and that was a way out for me. Dude, let me tell you-not even a couple of weeks after moving in. I was already ready to go. He was nervous about having sex because he had issues with his body even after losing weight. I never cheated on him but my mind was checked out. I was secretly getting on porn sites because I became physically unattracted to him. I wasn't willing to be patient and we both help each other.
It was a mess and I was a complete asshole during those 5 years. Can you imagine being with someone that long who really is not interested in you-not as a lover? I should have just remained friends and never allowed things to go further.
I just went on that tangent to say if you're not really into him than put a end to that. Don't fuck with the man's feelings. Like Whitney said in the remake of Sparkle "let my life be a cautionary tale." He is my "ex" for a reason.@yahoo.com, acessential, GaTekno84 and 1 other person dapped this. -

Quite frankly, white ppl dont need us! Hip hop is its own situation, but as for RnB, its a wrap. Sam Smith is doing exactly what Tyrese and Tank has done (including his sound) for years, and Adele is doing exactly what _____ (insert female real RnB singer here) has been doing for years.
The diff is that, theyre white, so white ppl pay attention to them. And, in turn, support them. Adele and Sam have huge machines behind them pushing them as 'the elusive' blue eyed soul acts.
Also, black ppl suck in general at supporting our own, and would be the first ones to call a black RnB singer irrelevant, because they dont have the same machines behind them. The first ones talking about how they didnt get the last job they applied for because theyre black, but acting like the RnB singer's story is different.Coragee, ControlledXaos, Nigerian Prince and 1 other person dapped this. -
The pull up your pants mantra is respectability politics. Respectability politics might mean well but it has limits to it. Its not really a new idea. A lot of the ideas formed after slavery when organizers and thinkers were trying to figure out how blacks could move forward and be successful. Obama is the epitome of it and tends to mention in his speeches to black audiences. Sagging and Baggy clothes have a long history of being criminalized because poor people of color wore them and people didn't see it as proper attire. The only reason people really wore them is because many could not afford tailors or new clothes so poor kids just made them trendy. It goes all way back to the 1930's zuit suits now we call them Steve Harvey suits lol.

I feel unless you have been there, you can't relate to my fitness struggle. Anyone who has gone from average-chubby-fat to in shape I'm more to take their advice from.
If you have always been rich, I'm probably not going to take your financial advice to heart but if you have bounced a check a time or two and recovered from bankruptcy and bad credit, and now have a good net worth, I can learn something from you.Tyroc, Coragee, OckyDub and 1 other person dapped this.
