I think you are right. I don't believe I was being discouraging and I would never want to project that one shouldn't follow their dreams and feel supported. I guess my entire issue is that I never have bought into the notion that with the new year comes a miraculous transformation. I think that if you have goals and want to change your station, you shouldn't be waiting for the new year. You should be actively working towards something better each and every day. I am also a proponent of goal setting (short-term and long-term) where you can measure progress and reevaluate. I guess when I heard the "new year new me" I am thinking that that was probably your intentions last year. But I do feel bad, I actually think I am going to apologize for my sentiments.

I feel (and felt) really bad for this dude for some reason...like he was a little cousin or something...For all I know he was actually guilty but based on the "evidence" I saw, this looks like a scapegoat, "let's make an example out of him" situation...He was just a young HIV+ dude engaging in consensual gay sex with a bunch of white queers who had buyers remorse.

I've tried telling my mom several times and each times her response was that it was a phase. I got caught growing up messing with boys all the time. I even got "banned" from using the public library because they caught me visiting gay porn sites in middle school and I was using my aunt's address so they sent a letter to her. I don't know where she stands but at this point I have given up caring. Most of my friends know as far as I know. Being an elementary school teacher I always have to be on my P's and Q's, but I think a lot of people have their suspicions as well, IDC.

I think there may be even more hurdles if you are Gay since most single man tries to date or have sex with you before even considering a friendship once they find out you have things in common or are a good dude.

Kinda like the straight man who assumes the attractive waitress MUST want to fuck him just because she was being nice to him (probably just for the tips), many gay men view even the most casual conversation with another attractive gay man as courtship.

One guy on an app straight up told me, "I have enough friends, I'm looking for more than that."

In addition to the above, my issues with maintaining are geography based. Every time I start building those stereotypical friendships where we talk, hang out, travel and bond with frequently, they end up moving away or getting into relationships causing them to slowly vanish.

Finished Book I, working on Book II then III.

I'm hornier than normal...I think it's the moon.

Body Wise: I'm still kinda small but not skinny...Medium build. I have booty goals this year.

Financial wise I'm satisfied, though I would love to have my own beach house and writers retreat.

    Family wise: I'm still distant.

Sex Wise: I try to remain celibate but that's causing problems. I have discovered what I'm into though.

I learned how to do more things this year. Animation and stuff.

Overall, Id say it's been a good year tho it's going by really fast.

truly groundbreaking news would be that hiv meds were all free under a congress-approved universal healthcare plan, rather than rehashing this same science about viral suppression that we've known for 5 to 10 yrs already.

beyond finding a cure, the major concerns today are access to the meds for ppl across the globe and medication side effects after long term usage, particularly on the liver and kidneys.

    Well....they van host unencumbered.

Also that's an easy fix. Craigslist always got free stuff and if they have a college near by the dumpsters will be full of gently used Ikea and you can make a bed frame with free wood pallets.

    I see no issue.

My parents don't know when I lost my virginity. Partly because I didn't start having sex until my early 20s and since I'm attracted to men I wasn't inclined to discuss the subject with them. My Mom did figure out I was masturbating when I was 15 because she found this one pare of briefs I used as a cum rag. Very embarrassing. Until that point I managed to keep the fact I was jacking off a secret. I'd been doing it since I was 13.

I'm generally kind person and I feel that people take advantage of kindness because they are narcissistic and selfish and/or they come from a home lacking refinement and are insecure and jealous.

But I also think there is a fine line between being kind and being a fool. As an empath, it doesn't take much to get me triggered..I recently saw a FB post of two engineering students that died in a car crash yesterday. Two young black men that went to my community college at the time. I was struck with emotion and didn't know them.

But I'm starting to think some people say, "Sorry for your loss", but don't really care. It's like something you say without emotion to it and can get away because you said it. It's like saying, "Phew, Glad that wasn't me."

I hardly ever talk to folks but I'm still polite and I'm reguarded as standoffish, uptight and everything else.

Most people these days have no concept of love, they just love to f**k and f**k over people.

Also, look at media. A lot of movies, song and video games promote dismissive attitudes and even heterosexual men act as b**chy as women do on their period. No self respect for anyone's life but your own.

'Krash' in Steinway; Queens (1998-2001), the club everyone loved to hate. Free on Thursday, $5 on Friday, $10 Saturday. It wasn't ratchet so much, but the crowd was just, ugh. Good lookin dudes, but majority were stuck up ass conceited 'queens', but the music was bomb. I would get shit faced drunk and dance from 12am to 5am. Definitely was not "recognized" nor the "Hot Boy" and literally only met ONE dude there in the 4yrs that I used to go. Only ever saw one fight there.

"If you hit somebody you can not be sure you are not going to be hit back."

When I was TKD, some 'Becky' claimed I hit her in the pussy during sparring. If I did 1. It was an accident. 2. It was sparring sooo... WTF you expect? Well, let me tell you that she spent the whole match trying to kick me in the balls. Meanwhile, my frank and beans were secure in their cup. I should have just let the trick go for it and see how that felt on her foot.

I think that we have a lot of females who try to use that 'you's a punk if you hit a wuhmun' against males to aggravate us and get in and point their fingers in our faces, get in our ears and talk loud to try to get a reaction and then when the man finally gets a enough of hit and smacks her, wants to run and hide. That's not how it is supposed to work.

Females should not be taught or encouraged to say and do whatever they want to a man with no consequences to those actions. Plus, females do not 'fight fair' when it comes to violence because they have to overcompensate when they lack in strength with sadist behavior. If a man cheats on a woman, she wants to heat up the grease, hot water, or sugar water and toss it on him, wreck and vandalize his car, cut h is dick off or glue it to his leg. Sick ass shit that men, or at least masculine leaning men don't get into.

I'm not less of a man because I'm attracted to men but we have associated being gay or 'bottoming' with 'taking away manhood' when we know better but a lot of straight black people feel that it does make us less than. I know straight men that I feel like I'm more masculine than so that's bull.

I think a 'real man' is someone who is responsible and doesn't rely on anyone else to do what they need to do. A responsible man knows not to sire 10 kids that he can't take care of because he controls his actions or is not so caught up with raw pussy that he makes the effort on his part to reduce the chance of getting someone pregnant or transmitting STDs. You don't have to get married or have an executive job to do those things. The money you make and if you reproduce don't make you 'real man'. A real man does not have to prove his dominance over a weaker person be they male or female. A real man tries to help other people and uplift them as best he can.

Be kind, respectful, responsible, patient, compassionate, humble, and cooperative and I think somewhere in there you'll be a real man or just a good human being.

I took a look at Durtey, and yeah, that's odd. Their most popular post in the past few months is the story about the 14-yr old boy who was killed by his father for being gay, with 95 likes/reactions, 115 shares, and 25 comments. Still, that's nothing compared to the amount of people following the page. The website itself is even worse.

The best guesses I can come up with are: 1.) The readers don't care much for some of the lesser known stories. 2.) Some of the more popular stories are discussed over at The Shade Room, which is far more popular. 3) Bots.

As for Queerty, they have the benefit of a majority white audience, which trumps black audiences in numbers. VerySmartBrothas (this reason might be a reach) has a majority straight audience, so no fear of being outed if seen commenting, liking, and sharing. What both sites have over Aazah as websites, is that they're much simpler and easier to navigate. Queerty and VSB have 5 and 6 tabs, one of them being the latest/home tab. Aazah has 11. I think that's casting too wide a net. If I wanted a new game, I could go to Walmart, but I'd rather go to GameStop.

That's all I can say for them specifically, though. I don't know about any other Black Gay sites.

MESSY.The dudes are obviously not saints, but going out of your way to out them helps no one.Forcibly outing people causes the reactions that makes people too afraid to come out.People who are struggling with that need a certain safe space in which to come out. There are no winners in this situation.

Do people say they hope the male criminal gets raped because maybe he raped a child, young person, or maybe an innocent lady coming home from work carrying grocery bags?

I mean I never heard anyone say "I hope he gets raped" to a male criminal in jail for selling drugs.

I think we as a society put so much stress and emphasis on our 20s...personally yeh, I don’t believe you have to have all your shit figured out in your 20s. Hell, your 20s are not even the birth of your prime. 20s are the time to explore shit as the young adult that you’ve become. Fuck up, fuck up again, and probably even fuck up one more time to know what’s your “path” and what’s not. I’ve just entered my mid 20s and the only thing I could probably say to my younger 20s is that I’m not stuck, it’ll pass and to take those risks because this is the time to.... also, I’d tell him to leave this 6’8 nigga alone and to make sure you grab that dude’s ass at that one Kappa party who kept drinking out the same cup as you. :ashley:(I still think about this...)

Middle Easterners do think they are better than everyone.

One of my friends is from Pakistan and he said before he came to America he didn't expect to find blacks there. He then went on about some other things. Recently, he said he would never get into a fight with a black person, he know he'd loose cause of blah blah....I'm giving him the side eye like...Please stay off of Worldstar.

My other associate who is from the Middle East mentioned something about Worldstar once. I don't watch any of it but I'm wondering if they view black by things like this in other countries.

I also heard how they treat blacks or dark skinned people in India to a degree. The lighter you are the better mentality. I've never been to India but I hear it's a problem.

Everytime we do hear about a black person making a "coming out" they usually have a white person on their side as a spouse...Lol

But anyway, IDK how many times I done said how Black Americans need to stick together...Cause they don't even like each other. I often feel like that being black and liking guys, they feel the need to slide Jesus said up in there somewhere.

There was a story I read somewhere, IDK if it was here or what not but it was about a black guy that hung himself in a park cause his family wouldn't accept him being gay or something. Story still pisses me off to this day....It got a little press I think in ATL or whatever.

Idk how much attention this guy would get if he was black but he sure wouldn't be embraced by the black community with fireworks and claps.

And what's up with this subculture called "Race-play"...I saw something like that a few months ago and I was...Huh they even have one with the police detaining and having sex with blacks....Lol Who are these men paying for that! Hahaha

I think the term alpha male is most definitely situational and unlike wolf packs, alpha males can quickly be turned into beta with a small change in the situational dynamic. I will use my own experience, I work with senior leaders in government where rank and protocol matter. It is easy for me to enter a space as the alpha male because I carry the weight of our government but that quickly changes when someone enters the space that outranks me or anytime an Ambassador enters the room. Boom, I take my place as a beta. The same can be attributed to men in the regular world, you may be the alpha one minute and beta the next.

Men don't have a total monopoly on the alpha status I don't think that position necessarily has a gender or can be gendered.

Thank you @Nick Delmacy for creating a space like CA. An online community for us by us just to quote Solange. I don't think you know how this site is transforming lives. Even the lurkers can walk away knowing that life is ok.

This article does make a valid point. In my own experience I can say gay stereotypes made my coming out process more difficult because I didn't identify with gay stereotypes which are overwhelmingly white and effeminate.
