Go figure. She knows that all of these queens are still gonna support her drag shows. A lot of the gays just reeeeally wana be women, and live vicariously through them, regardless of the way so many of their 'divas' view them.

Whether it's a question of blood relations or not, I bet most of us benefit (benefitted) from a gay uncle, an older guy who showed us around the gayborhood. For those of us who are older, there's a benefit to our relationship with younger guys who regard us as uncles. We create our own families. As for mid-life crises and sports cars, what's the point of working to get to a point where you can afford to live your dream, or part of it, and not taking advantage of it? There needs to be some compensation for the pain in the knee that Ocky felt.

 

Co-sign. I gave up on the concept of "unconditional love" for ALL black folk long ago, especially over the issue of homophobia. You have to show and prove to get my support. Look at all the education and talent in CA. But I'm supposed to just automatically join in a march for crackhead Ray-Ray who robbed a liquor store, endangered children by shooting indiscriminately and then got offed by police. We have to be careful about not letting true indignation for men like Castillo and Sterling morph into undeserved support for bottom feeders.

 

What annoys me about Nicki Minaj too is she may have been a practicing lesbiana back in the day AND she capitalized and built her career off alluding to being bisexual but now you wanna "believe what the Bible says?"

 

About the nephew. I believe he is gay, but it seems a bit strange to me that he wouldn't want to confind that with his gay uncle. You could offer him understanding and advice as a gay man. Man I wish I had a gay uncle when I was growing up. I would have asked him all kind of stuff.

Also, when the father made reference to the "working on him" and "is he getting up on girls" would his father have a problem with him being gay? It wouldn't seem like your family is homophobic or would make rude remarks about gay people knowing that you are gay.

When my niece and nephew grew older and realized which was later confirmed between myself and my sister that I was gay they were ecstatic. They got excited and said "I knew it, because you know about all the dope stuff and got style''. LOL. They feel like gay people have super powers or some shit. Like all gay people are cool or interesting in some way. Its funny.

Far too many black people get rich and try to pretend that they have transcended past racism. In many ways this is true but that doesn't discredit the fundamentally systemic racism problem that exists throughout American culture. Further, this only gives license to Wayne's impressionable young stans who will use his words when they fall down and say something stupid.

All Jokes aside: people talk about emotional intelligence this, empathy that.

As a young black male who is FULLY aware of the disproportionate systematic disenfranchisement of black people, how am I supposed to empathize with Lil Wayne's statement? how I am supposed to say "I feel your pain" to someone like this? How can I look at things from his angle? I just don't know where to start... He makes Trump voters very reasonable human beings by contrast.

Quite frankly, white ppl dont need us! Hip hop is its own situation, but as for RnB, its a wrap. Sam Smith is doing exactly what Tyrese and Tank has done (including his sound) for years, and Adele is doing exactly what _____ (insert female real RnB singer here) has been doing for years.

The diff is that, theyre white, so white ppl pay attention to them. And, in turn, support them. Adele and Sam have huge machines behind them pushing them as 'the elusive' blue eyed soul acts.

Also, black ppl suck in general at supporting our own, and would be the first ones to call a black RnB singer irrelevant, because they dont have the same machines behind them. The first ones talking about how they didnt get the last job they applied for because theyre black, but acting like the RnB singer's story is different.

The very beautiful raspiness of Sade Adu's voice simply marked out a class for her. I didn't quite enjoy the Solider of Love album though. It's sort of hard to believe "Your Love is King" was their first single, it's so good and timeless.

I generally however, enjoy songs that are clearly sexual in nature or have romantic impressions without alot of ACTUAL references to sex (specific sex acts, body part descriptions) Ginuwine is one of a few exceptions and I feel he does ever get too explicit in his music. I appreciate subtlety and finesse in romance and smooth talkers are a huge turn-on (threat) to me. lol

Those themes care over into the types of music that get me in the mood. They typically feature soft sensual tones and slow beats that still make you want to move but...in very special ways with a very special person.


Mariah's Ultimate Sex Song and also one of her hardest to sing for...obvious reasons...every time I hear it I...have visions of love!


This one's a close second though...*confession time* sometimes I like to listen to this one in the dark in bed.

@Dante Whoa! What bullshit should I be cutting exactly? Nothing you said had anything to do with my comment on the issue. Fact remains that sexuality is not cut and dry for everyone. Everyone should be able to live their identity as they see fit as long as they are not harming anyone physically or emotionally I see nothing wrong with him or any others that believe as he does saying if they meet someone they connect with regardless of gender they would pursue it. Nothing in that invalidates LGBT people or the persons core identity. If most gay people have at some point in their lives solely and completely identified as heterosexual, even if some of that is because of the lack of acceptance, it's safe to say that people have the ability to connect with whom they chose if they choose. Not saying you can choose your core identity but certainly you can choose who you seek connection with if you want to. Also to your point that you don't hear straight men saying if they met a guy yadda yadda.... No it's not common that they say it but we all know that they act on it all they time! Many straight men have sex and even full fledged relationships with men and not always covertly they still self identify as straight. My point is that some people are love focused rather than solely gender focused and maybe Jussie is that type.

 

If this negro was so disgusted why did he not look away or leave the situation? Clearly, he was part of the situation. All I saying is the most virulent homophobes are the ones where homosexuality hits home the closest.
