This story tells me that Joy Reid at LEAST believed it was POSSIBLE that she did write the homophobic comments in the past. Not to mention all of the homophobic things reported that she has said/written since then.

No, I do not think a Teacher should be open with their sexuality. This is a professional workplace and they are there to do one thing only teach. If they see a student struggling because of their sexuality, they should report to the Principal. Then a safe place can be made for students to workout issues. If all else fails and the student is still struggling, then the decision is up to the teacher if they want to tell that student about their sexuality, but should be a last resort.

Tricky situation. Had he opted to not take on the Trump catering job for fear of the Black Community's reaction then he'd most likely have been boycotted by the White Elites and shut down completely, ending up even more f#$ked than what he is now. Social media status is def an indicator... number of followers/friends, how many likes they get on even the most mundane comments and photos, and how many pics they are in on other gaylebrity pages and events.

I bet #BlackTwitter gonna be silent on this. I was reading some of the fallout from the Justin Timberlake tweet and I was thinking most of the responses were extremely hyperbolic and I think at least 1/2 of the people commenting were jumping on a bandwagon and don't actually know/understand what Cultural Appropriation is, and how it fits into the larger narrative.

I also think Whoppi, clearly doesn't give a shit and what call it like she see it.

 

I think that selling sex should be decriminalized. I think it would cut down on human trafficking and would also make it safer for people who are sex workers.

That being said, this is interesting. People would rather flee an oppressive country and take a chance at a better life and become a sex worker.

There's s a mixture of desperation and guts here. Going to a country that you clearly are not able to earn a living in takes some moxie. But I also wonder how much poor planning is also a factor. Not having but twenty cents to your name and an empty stomach kicks you into Survival Mode quickly.
