Indiana Man Beats Afghanistan War Veteran to Death over "Gay Advances"

You never know, to feel that level of comfort to publicly share and also with someone's mother makes me wonder if Davis-Martin hadn't in some way encouraged those feelings.
I have a couple of straight buddies who do and say some really gay confusing shyt. I could see someone much younger than me in these positions feeling encouraged to explore what they think they see.

 

This is disgusting. If the mom cleaned up blood and new anything about this she should face charges as well for complicity at the least. The friends he was with who pulled him of the stomping should face charges as well for letting him die like that and leaving him exposed and not notifying anyone. There are laws regarding that too-they could have contributed to his death.

But I bet this prosecutor does nothing like any of that-because he was just a gay man and a black man too. They won't do anything 'extra'...but if he was a wealthy white gay man they would probably face pressure to do it and might do it.

 

I've NEVERRRR understood that obsession. For me, majority of the dudes I'm attracted to {sadly for me} end up being straight, but I've never purposely gone after a straight dude. For what??? But, some gay dudes LOVE it. SMDH

This reminds me of the situation with a dude that killed my grandfather right after I was born. My grandfather's BF (He was bi-sexual) stabbed him 45 times, and apparently killed a few dudes after him and nobody did anything, but when he killed a well off white guy all of a sudden he got arrested and locked in jail for life. smh

 

I was going to comment on this part. I don't get why guys even try to find gay guys in straight places-like a supermarket. Unless you KNOW they are gay it can be a dangerous game. Just 'trying' to find out if they are 'down' could be misconstrued by some idiot homophobe as 'coming on to them' and get you attacked or killed. It is just not worth it.

You would have to be very very good at that type of thing to be sure you would not be taken the wrong way and there is no way I would take that chance. They are strangers and you have no idea of whether or not they are some kind of psychopath just waiting for a reason to go completely batshit insane.

 

Well anyone who is honest about these things knows that is the way it has been and to a somewhat lesser extent, it still is that way. It is terrible and unfair but that is the reality. Even if it is a generalization, it still is the reality overall. You cannot change anything until you face up to the reality of things. Many white people do not want to do this. They will point to specifics that don't fit the narrative and avoid adding all of the things up together-which WILL fit the narrative.

As I have said, I have been involved with the criminal justice system and you could not find a better example of white privilege and how it helped someone. That made me not just think that blacks were treated differently in the criminal justice system-from sentencing all the way down to traffic stops-I then knew it was true. There was no other explanation and too many times I got different (better) treatment.

It was not only race, it was also perceived socio-economic status. I found that out to be true as well.
