Any Bathhouse Experiences?

Been once...that is all

 

I have been to one in the Tampa area. It was quite the experience. Definitely not my scene, though.

 

I never been but from what I have read it may really depend on what you see and who you see there. Either you're going to plan to partake or just spectate. You may not see anyone you're interested in or people may not be into you. Or you may want to just hang out. I have heard all of the above from different people on the subject.

I think it's one of the things people do just to mark it off the bucket list. I have not ruled out going but I'm pretty sure my participation will be zero if I did go.

 

The city's main bathhouse and leather bar are both in walking distance in my neighborhood. I think I'd be more inclined to visit the leather bar ... but not in January lol...

Is it an actual bath house with showers, pool, steam room etc or a hook up spot? I hear that makes a difference in the experience.

 

I have been to bathhouses in Miami and Chicago... My friend who i went to these places with is very sexual and they tend to do all the things that some people frown upon, including bathhouses, sex parties and regular online hook ups. When I went to the bathhouses I had a great time. I am more of a voyeur and tease - i like to watch and engage in conversation. There were some pretty intelligent black men there. But, the places were depressing, dark, sad and non exciting... the one in Chicago smelt like death. They are interesting places, and most of the guys did not look like me - unless is was a black pride in the city... then they were there front and center. On average, the patrons were old and looked like guys you would see being interviewed by Chris Hanson in the kitchen after the decoy went to put on something more comfortable.

When i went to those places a lot of group sex was taking place with people who were old, overweight and white. If there were two black guys connecting, they went to a private room. Interesting experience. IF you are curious - go check it out and see for yourself. worst case scenario you are out of a few bucks. Or, best case scenario you might have a little fun. your call.

 

Uhm... because I used to be a straight up whore. Yeah I've been to one before.. a few... uhm. They are interesting experiences I think depending on the crowd. I'm more on the voyeuristic side so I spent more time watching; however, it really depends on the other people that go.

Yep I know of the Chicago one and most people describe it as you say.

I don't have a problem with the "frowned upon things." I'm libertarian so as long as everyone is a consenting, mentally culpable ADULT and treats others with respect, do what you want. My only concern is first and foremost disease and infection transmission. If precautions are taken and mitigating then I have no problem with open relationships, sex parties, etc. I believe such activities are more morally and psychologically honest than DL married men, closet church queens, white male Republicans passing anti gay legislation while sucking dick on the side etc etc etc. I work with a lot of such hypocrites in federal govt, so I've become way more understanding on "frowned behaviors" because I find the batshit insanity of religious and moral hypocrites in govt jobs way more disgusting than some schlub trolling glory holes in that unmarked building on the corner.

Not once, but three times, I've tried to go to a bathhouse, but just chickened out and I didn't go in.

The idea to me of a bathhouse or a gay sauna sounds fun in my mind temporarily, but I just chicken out at the actual idea, and I just don't like it.

To me, I'd rather experience love in other ways and methods.
