I am starting to think that there is nothing good that comes out of the Delivert guy's mouth....or goes in for that matter.

I mean every time he opens his mouth in public, he gets into some controversy.

 

This dude... I kind of felt sorry for him when he started talking about his past how he was treated in school and clearly not getting and proper hooked on phonics education. But now it just comes off as he is fame hungry. How are you going to talk about GOD then say you slept with Kordell. Now your just making up stuff for attention. He made Bishop Blake and the Church of God in Christ a laughing stock. Dude needs help if he keeps these antics up he's going to get hurt.

 

Exactly. I had the misfortune to listen to the whole radio interview and he swears up and down that he's a Christian and that's he's changed and yada yada but then proceeded to drag Porscha through the mud MULTIPLE times and when listeners called in and shared their opinions with him that weren't inherently positive he was automatically dismissive and rude to them.

I don't care what you SAY, Christ-like individuals are Christ-like in both word AND actions...you're not gay no more, and you've broken ties with everything in the "Gay World" but you're just as messy as everyone else!

 

As much as I want to think that the antics of people like Delivert and Hollywood and the "hide yo kids, hide yo wife" guy don't really resonate with intelligent folk, is it wrong for me to be embarrassed as a gay man when this shit become public? My other question is WHAT THE HELL Kordell and Kerry?!?!?!?!?! I've got plenty fem gay friends with some sense that would love a date with a man who can financially handle himself, LOL.....Seriously, I SMDH for gay men period when this shit happens because I know we got clean-up work coming. Or perhaps that's my respectability training kicking in again.....

Didn't you know that Church Queens are the messiest of them all. The ones that were raised in the church are all headcases, but they usually have dem good guts, and are the best in bed (hoe-ish). Delivert is an obvious exception to this standard, as are Donnie McClurkin and Bishop Eddie Long. Also, I'm still waiting for Kirk Franklin to come out, cuz he is def on the spectrum somewhere too.

 

Sorry, I'm confused...How are you sympathetic to Bishop Eddie Long and his church in their attempt to convert a gay man to straight, or at least to have him profess to having been converted as evidence that something so ludicrous is even possible? Also why da fock does Cypher Avenue support this waste of life---->. This dude popularized the phrase "Nigger Faggot" during his days with the Youtube Comedy sketch group College Humor. College Humor was popular among college aged white males in the mid-2000s. A majority of them who at that time (and probably still do) no doubt viewed black gay men as subhuman in comparison to themselves, or as a pathetic minority to shown pity while maintaining a comfortable distance from atop a thrown of white male privilege which assures that no-change toward equality and equal representation would come about...

 

Mental Illness is real. It seems that the behavor he presented prior to "being delivert" and now are the same. He just has a different platform. From what I can see he is a hustler who is trying to make a name for himself.. without putting in the work. I mean, he has (self) published books that are difficult to take seriously.

(I don't know too much about the man) I really don't know if is mental or emotional issue.. or both. Maybe a mental health professional on these boards can lend some insight.

 

It's only selective outrage if you know that I am not outragd by the other circumstnaces you mentioned. And to be clear, I am not as outraged by those because the hip hop hood community is using the word "faggot" in those instances as a generic insult rather than as a slur directed toward an lgbt person (even though it is still highly offensive to gay people). Your derogatory slurs toward gays, when used in jest or as a term of endearment are not the same as what this turd Gambino did. What he did was empower young white males (a group notorious for creating racial slurs and jokes, which is why there are fewer racial slurs and jokes directed at whites) by giving them a phrase to describe a group which they were likely just becoming aware of and acquainted with (along with the rest of the nation thanks to greater LGBT visibility starting in the early 2000s). He gave them a phrase to describe black gay men in contrast to str8 black men who for many young white males (as a result of media depictions) represent the epitome of manhood and are a force to be feared or threatened by (see toxic masculinity). Now, along with their burgeoning awareness of this large "subgroup" of black men (in their minds), they have a phrase with which to address them which reinforces their own delusions of superiority ("nigger") and distinguishes the supposed unnaturalness of our being gay from our more "normal" heterosexual counterparts ("faggots"). Hence the phrase nigger faggots. A cute little package of two little words that say so much. This all would have dawned on Gambino at the time. But he was happy to deliver this gift to an audience of young white males for the sake of furthering his popularity or fame. Therefore, he is a waste of life....
