As long as no kids were around or harmed I think it's a big fuss over nothing.

i noticed that both people sitting to his sides didn't react. That's why I asked, was he really doing anything. If he was, I'd almost understand Ms Thing's response; I don't know about NYers, but if dude were actually doing something untoward on a Chicago train, people next to him would have gotten up and moved away, even with rush hour crowding. Like @DreG said, camera was rolling before she went in. God forbid dude just had jock itch or bunched undies. There's a whole movement of candy asses with cameras in ChI who want to shame dudes for "man spreading", another made-up assault to the senses of people with too much time on their hands. Plus, he was trying to hide, if so, by bag placement. Didn't seem like he really wanted an audience.

I don't want to overreact (Nick's reaction was to the point and succinct) but there's a reason we have emergency signals, rail cops, and courts. To me, her reaction is just more of that combination of Internet narcissism coupled with emotional lynch mob lawlessness being promulgated by the likes of Trump, rogue black hotep cop assassins, and white Tea Party assholes.

This is obviously gonna be the new internet trend for the next few months for insecure ass people with entirely too much time on their hands and no life to fill it with, embarrassing people in public. Right alongside the "Beat the shit outta yo' kids" and "Cut all yo' kids hair off for Likes and Sympathy/Parenting Validation comments. What a world we live in.

This is why I (and many others) who support public transit ...do not ever want to have to ride it. What is worse, him doing that (if he was doing anything) discreetly, or her loud, threatening, foul, breaking-the-law-too/vulgar mouth going off in a public space/kids be damned if they happen to be nearby/no shame I am going to put this online self?

Tell him to stop and get off, or call the authorities. These types come in all ages and races and genders too-it is just having NO CLASS! Could have easily have been some redneck trash young male from the south side or west side of Columbus- have seen them act up like this in public, at fast food joints, etc. Almost got attacked by one for speaking up when he was going off like this in front of kids scaring the sh@t out of them.

 

Well....looks like homeboy really was doing what he was accused of. He was caught again and busted some days later (I heard on the radio, this morning). Sad, I was hoping he wasn't really doin' shit so that "Nae Nae" would really have looked stupid. Kinda like when I watched the remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street, I was hoping they'de change the story a little to where Freddy hadn't actually done anything to the kids and was falsely accused, but...oh well.
