OK! Hear me out. I was just watching Ryan Murphy's new show 'Feud' and I noticed how he always uses or brings back female actors that Hollywood is not paying attention to or not giving roles to because of Ageism or Sexism. He cast them in this amazing roles that showcase their talent and then they win awards, start getting new roles and people flock to them again. Lisa Kudrow of 'FRIENDS' during a HuffPost interview said she would not be where she was today if not for Gay men(Michael Patrick King). They are in the meetings pushing her name forward to investors, directors, magazine editors, endorsement companies that she was still relevant and that is how she has kept working in Hollywood. Super Model Naomi Campbell has long been friends with Edward Enninful, the now editor-in-chief of British Vogue magazine, he has pushed many times for her to be on the cover of magazines and now he gave her a contributing editor spot in British Vogue. Naomi Cambell talked about how she got her first vogue cover in 1988 and how Yves Saint Laurent helped her get it. How Saint Laurent got Naomi her first French Vogue cover and we all know how YSL was notoriously gay. Patti Labelle, Taraji P. Henson, Angela Bassett, Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Kathleen Bates, Loretta Devine, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer Hudson I could go on. All these women command a huge gay following, have and still keep getting amazing roles or working in Hollywood. Why do Black male actors/artist not get the same treatment?
Taye Diggs, in my opinion, keeps a job. I think its because as a black actor he embraces his gay fans. The man works on Broadway, it can't get gayer than that. Tank the RnB singer is booked at events and he is still relevant because, in my opinion, he embraced his gay fans.
Charlamagne Tha God is one perfect example for me. Dude has ALWAYS shown support for his gay fans. In his Podcast he talks about going to the gay club with his gay friends, has a 'Dick Talk' segment, is ''messy'' like the kids, even when that nude photo came out of a guy that looked like him in Doggy style is talked about how the dude got a fat ass, knows all the gay lingo, and mentioned how it was gay dudes that approached him for his MTV show and is now promoting his book. Dude is winning!

Justin Simien, Dear White People creator, is a gay black director in Hollywood. I do not see male black actors/artist flocking to him the way white male and female actors/artist are flocking to Xavier Dolan. Jessica Chastain is all up on Xavier knowing he is the future and going to be in the game for a while. Terrence Howard would not be popping now if Taraji wasn't good gurl friends with Lee Daniels and said she wasn't doing Empire without Terrence. Raúl Castillo has been good friends with gay directors David Marshall Grant(NBC's Smash), Michael Lannan (Interior. Leather Bar with James Franco) & Andrew Haigh(Weekend) and they called him up for 'Looking' when HBO wanted to produce it. Now dude stays working. I hope you understand what I am trying to convey here. I do not know why the story has to be different for Black male actors/artists. If I was a Black male actor/artist in Hollywood Gay producers and Directors will be on my whatsapp kiki list.

Religion!?! You are a black male actor/artist who is talented and needs projects/roles that showcase and challenge your talent and you telling me your religion is holding you back from working, from cashing a cheque, from displaying your talent, from putting food on the table, from surviving???

Just take a look at the number of women listed compared to the number of men...

Let's cut the shyt, many gay men are OBSESSED w women. More specifically, the women who embody what they would wanna be, if they were women. From the beautiful, powerful, rich bitch who married well, to the sassy black girl from church who can sing her face off AND cook a Thanksgiving meal EVERY Sunday, many, Many, MANY gay men 'live' for them.

Now, do you really think all of these women ran to Hollywood just happening to loooove gay men? Come on, it's the other way around! These gay men grow up obsessing over these women, and KEEP their names in lights. All it takes is your first semi high profile gig for your publicist/mgr/____ (who is probably gay himself) to make sure you know to make it clear that you love 'the gays'. Every gay pride is not headlined by a bunch of straight women simply because these women just genuinely love and support gay men and their rights.

The point is that associating blk male actors' problems in Hollywood with homophobia is indeed, lukewarm, at best. If these powerful gay execs hadn't grown up wanting to BE these women, many of these 'divas' (unbeknownst to many, the term comes from difficult, but powerful female opera singers, yet the gays have made it a compliment..go figure..)wouldn't have this golden ticket to a consistent check.

You can't be homophobic and work in any field in the entertainment industry. Openly Gay people are everywhere behind the scenes in the film and music business. Every entertainer has worked with an openly gay man. The lack of opportunity is more due to race and that the entertainment industry caters to a whotel people and what will sell to them.
