This is strange but interesting...Tell the one at 0:35 and who comes out the door to hit me up...That's a king I'd like to service.... He appears at 5:03 flexing them pecs and 5:10-5:12....looking like a snack.

Also, watching this video made me curious about LGBTQ rights in Africa again. I took it upon myself to find out how things are in Nigeria and some other places

Both male and female same-sex sexual activity is illegal in Nigeria. The maximum punishment in the twelve northern states that have adopted Shari'a law is death by stoning. States not under Shari'a law: 14 years' imprisonment

    :whew:

According to the 2007 Pew Global Attitudes Project, 97 percent of Nigerian residents believe that homosexuality is a way of life that society should not accept, which was the second-highest rate of non-acceptance in the 45 countries surveyed.

    I..... :picard:

I've always had a fondness for people from other countries and I'm often curious about them and their daily struggles. I really don't like how religion has turned everything into a shitshow. While I do believe in structure, I just think stuff like this is bullshit religious control methods.

It does make me a little sad to see them though. I think the people (men and women) are beautiful but wouldn't probably think twice about jailing or killing me in that country if they found out I like men which wouldn't be that hard to look over with my metrosexual moods and mannerisms. I'm not saying all of them are that way but from what I've read on certain reports, I wouldn't be welcomed with open arms exactly.

It's like that in some places in the U.S. also. It's not bad here like in those countries as far as being widespread but the acceptance of homosexuality has a "white edge". Most Black folks are still filled with hatred toward gay/bi black men and if you go into the wrong area you may not come out alive.

I have intrest in LGBTQ travel to places that are full of gays or gay friendly for sure. I think Africa is a beautiful place but man....it's a shitshow just like the U.S. is.

What's you gay travel guide gonna be like for the next few years?

I only watched a minute and a half of the video. Couldn't get through it.

But I will say that Africa is a big place. Your experience in one country or even one city isn't representative of other places. I'm not going to lie and say that there isn't rampant homophobia in some places, but there isn't everywhere.

I went to Johannesburg for a work trip last year and I absolutely LOVED it! Yes there is poverty there. Yes there is homophobia there, but there's also so much more. It was so nice seeing so many beautiful black men and women thriving. And they live in a country with one of the most progressive constitutions in the world that explicitly protects LGBT rights.

All this to say, you never know what you'll encounter during your travels.

Honestly @Jai I wanna know how you stumbled across this video on YouTube.

Also that 97% figure got me thinking. Once you account for the sampling error I suspect the rest are probably very brave LGBT respondents. What do you think?

As you correctly noted @acessential South Africa is the outlier on the continent by enshrining LGBT rights into their constitution. But the society throughout the continent is deeply homophobic. So I would advise all visitor to exercise physical discretion especially if you're clockable.

I think I was looking at short films or something and ran into the video on YouTube. Ive been heard they were homophobic in Africa but I remember working with one guy from Africa and I'm not really clockable but moreso "soft". He was rude as heck to me all the time. He would repeatedly talk behind my back to this Africa girl. She was way less judgemental but he was something else.

I've ran into one girl from Africa that was at my school and she made a sly judgemental comment about me wearing earrings.

In any case, it's a shame people are like that.

@Jai what you experienced sounds very familiar. Sadly there is a lot uncalled for judgement if you are somehow perceived to be nonconforming in African society.
