LOL you should already know how I feel. Didn't we argue about the Clintons and their for profit private prison monies?

 

Right. I wish black people supported the candidate most likely to attack this problem instead of voting based on name recognition.

 

I had a cry after watching this. I feel helpless. There has been a constant assault against black people, yet somehow we're the problem in some people's eyes. If you can't enslave them legally, enslave them by locking them up. Smh

 

Great doc. But I've seen several of these types of docs (mostly indie) over the past decade that reiterate the same concept of a corrupt legal justice system. I know we're chipping away at the issue, but at what point do we start to see the complete de-evolution of mass incarceration? As the film states in closing, it has always been about the evolution of enslavement. I'm just wary of what form it will assume next.

 

I just finished watching this. My mouth was open like 90% of the time. It all makes sense now. Black people can't catch a break. We are like the guinea pig of America.

 

I actually watched this recently. Overall it was a great documentary. I did know that Clinton played a part in the 3 strikes and the 85% rule. I'm glad he finally admitted to how wrong the bill affected a large number of people in the wrong way.

 

I learned a lot from this documentary and it just makes me think even more how hopeless the presidential race is. I cant wait to see what the producer Ava does with Black Panther
