    I was a lil gay nerd even back in my high school days (technically bisexual, i guess. I had girlfriends occasionally). After geeking out over Star Trek: The Next Generation for years, the next spin-off series DEEP SPACE NINE premiered in 1993 and I was watching every week (No, I wasn't considered a "cool kid" back then).

    To my surprise, there was a Black Captain with a cute son named Jake played by Cirroc Lofton (nephew of All-Star MLB outfielder Kenny Lofton). We fell in love in my mind instantly. Jake lost his mother at a young age, I lost my father at a young age, we were nearly the same age, we both had an insane growth spurt (Cirroc grew to be 6' 3") and we both wanted to be writers when we grew up.

    Cirroc never really had an acting career outside of this series...but I looked him up recently and saw that at 38 years-old, he was still Bae material:

    TNG was excellent,but Deep Space Nine is my preferred incarnation of Star Wars.Far Beyond the Stars was my favorite episode.

    I had no idea who he was until just now, but he is REALLY handsome. His young self vs. his adult self look like two completely different people. He's definitely "bae" material lol
