Agreed. Many 21st century "men" in the USA are such bitch made pantywaists. A good example of this is cultural shift is I recently saw a car insurance commercial(I forget which company) in it a 40ish woman was talking about how she called the insurance company to send roadside assistance to change a flat tire for her teenage son. We're not talking replacing an engine, a gearbox, or even changing brake pads(brake pads aren't hard to replace either on most cars BTW). What kinda shit is that? When I was a teenager my mom called me to change a tire. A grown ass man that can't do something as simple and practical as change fuckin tire is no man in my book. I call dudes like this bearded ladies. Many if not most modern American men have become weak, incompetent, and feminized. This seems especially true for millennial generation males.

 

Vehicle mechanic was my job in the reserves. The funny thing about it was I had zero experience prior. I deliberately chose that MOS when I joined to force myself out of comfort zone. Just about most things on a car short of engine, power train/transmission, body work is easy to do. Hell, drum brakes are almost as easy as disc and rotors if you’ve two people. It’s one thing to avoid for sake of time or regs (oil change is easy af but requires legal disposal of fluids, so I always let Jiffy Lube handle), another because of laziness. And to top it off, my first auto class was taught by a woman who owned her own shop. So neither sex has an excuse.

With the industry going to electric and automation, dudes will have more excuses to be intellectually and mechanically lazy.
