    New meme making the rounds on social media. I just feel like if you're not sitting out or not going to work yourself, how are you gonna call on someone else to do it? I mean I feel if this was done collectively across the NBA cool; however LBJ has contract obligations to companies that if he broke, he could be face hella litigation. IDK...what do you think?

    Just seems like it would be easier to vote the horrible wack ass DA out of office...but that would mean people of color would have to get out to vote in non-presidential elections....ohhh

    I don't think that's the best or more effective way but I get the idea behind it. If he did do it it would bring great awareness but would it effectively change the situation. What about the other victims who are killed whose murders also never go to prison. If he does sit out it would definitely put him in the history books. This is a touchy one.

    It won't have much of a impact-if Lebron sits out alone. He needs a large influential group to truly make a difference.

    But i think thats the idea. Maybe if Lebron sits it out, the rest of the team will follow. I just dont like the way the general public is treating this.. Some tweets are literally demanding (not asking) it of him. His a grown man let him decide.

    I don't think one has anything to do with the other. Lebron plays for the NBA. The NBA did not shoot him, the police did. A sit out of NBA players won't hurt the police directly. You could make the argument of a trickle down effect of lost money from the NBA games that the players would be sitting out and how that trickles down to lost money for the city (and in turn the police) but again it has nothing to do with the other. The only connection would be that it happened in Cleveland and he plays for Cleveland. If your going to "fight the power" when things like this happen, then you have to do things that make sense. Just yesterday they protested and tried to block the freeway. How the hell is that accomplishing anything?

    Exactly, the problem with black people is we're too entertainment and celebrity centered. Many of us don't understand how the political system works. There's very little the DOJ can and will do. If the black community in Cleveland came out en masse to vote out the D/A that would send a clear message.
