Circumcision - I Did Not Consent

I got the cut when I was a kid. I've been cool with it though. I know a lot of folks are not okay with it.

 

While I agree that the mass routine circumcisions that doctors used to perform on babies in previous generations (like mine) should end, and that it is medically unnecessary, I had to eyeroll at grown men with a “movement”, acting as if a missing foreskin is the equivalent of the FGM performed on African/Muslim girls. These girls are true victims as FGM is akin to castration (an entire body part, the clitoris, is forcibly removed). Dudes (like me) with circumcised dicks just have a little less to clean. These candy assed dudes acting like they are Nigerian FGM victims need to grow (another) pair.

 

While I can understand the "not consenting" part of being circumcised as a baby, I personally have THANKED my mother in the past for having me circumcised. And the shit is beautiful.

Im soooo glad I got it as an infant so I don't remember shit. I dated someone before who got circumcised in his twenties. He said as awful as you think it would be, it was that times 20.

Some people may be into it and to each is own, but I wouldn't choose to date a guy that is un-circumcised. I just find those dicks unappealing. So yeah, I would definitely be on the side of the campaign, I GOT CIRCUMCISED AND I LOVE IT. lol

 

You know men who wish the were not circumcised? They wish they had foreskin?

 

Neither did we consent to our names or first schools. If they are victims, I guess our mothers are criminals?

 

I know of some who make it seem like they lost a limb or something. I also have a cousin who I chat with about things. He is uncut and is "proud" to be intact. I also ran the question across my "straight" Polynesian friend to see what his opinion was...though I had other reasons for asking him I said something along the lines of I was on a forum of a popular site and we were discussing circumcision and mutilation...What do you think?

 

I often wish that I wasn't circumcised but I'm not losing sleep over it.

I deal with the victims of FGM often in my line of work (as I’m sure @BlackguyExecutive might have in his). I personally can’t get worked up over dudes acting like circumcision is some major male issue (like Father’s rights, forced sexual slavery of young boys in the Islamic world, etc.) when it ain’t, especially when there are male issues that I (imho obviously not yours) think merit real attention unlike these weepy dudes on political billboard trucks. Some of that is just my general disgust with political trucks. Like anti-abortion christians who put pictures of bloody, mutilated fetuses on trucks in Ohio and all it did was make hungry for buffalo wings...

But I digress.

So yeah, I think circumcision is stupid in general, and often perverted due to religious/ethnic considerations (don’t even get me started on pre-slavery retarded African customs or Jewish rituals, mohels, and rabbis sucking bloody baby schlongs). Yeah, military doctors didn’t ask me or my father’s permission as a young serviceman when I was born on a base whether I wanted to keep a little on the top, but in the end there are, to me, more important male health issues ( where is the pink ribbon or walkathon for prostate cancer?).

But that don’t mean I don’t love your concern and you for putting it out there, bruh...

 

Yeah, I frowned on this ad too for all the above reasons already mentioned. But if asked my opinion, I would advise anyone who inquires if they should get their son circumcised, No. If I'm ever have a son, I wouldn't have him circumcised, even though I am. Americans always find a way to make themselves different for all the wrong reasons. And people who discriminate against uncut dicks fall into the same toxic ethnocentric mentality of white Americans. Every uncut dick isn't ugly (once you pull the skin back, they look like any other), every one doesn't smell (if they do, someone needs lessons in hygiene) and if you don't want to increase your risk of disease, it's no different than being cut...wear a condom or abstain. lol. Apparently, sex (and jacking off) is supposed to feel even BETTER than what it does, so honestly, I'm not mad at my parents. I'm just a little envious of the guys whose parents didn't take the route mine did.

 

Side note: I've never heard of this movie...gonna see if I can track down a copy...

 

Unless parents are obliging to tell doctors to completely cut their baby boy's penises off (castration), having either a cut or uncut dick shouldn't be an issue.

 

Most circumcisions are done in the USA for dubious reasons. It's not medically necessary. I can understand if it's done as rite of passage like some African tribes do. I've noticed that many Caribbean and Latino dudes are uncut. I'm glad my dad insisted that I not be circumcised. I've seen some ugly circumcised dicks. With my luck mine would've probably would've been ugly botched ones if it had been allowed to be done. I feel like I dodged a bullet one this issue.

I know a couple of people who weren't circumcised and had to have surgical adjustments made.Something about the foreskin splitting on the side I think,but I'm not really sure.Outside of those rare cases I don't totally get why it's the societal norm to do so,but,whatever.

 

That's odd. I wonder if it was phimosis or paraphimosis (ie can't retract or return foreskin to natural position) that caused it.

There really are very few medical indications for circumcision. If I get a kid he won't be getting circumsized.

I, for one, will be happy when circumcision goes away and when uncut dudes rule the world. At least then other dudes will finally (finally!) stop getting freaked out by it and tryna pull it back before sticking in their mouths. If I had a nickel for every time I wanted to say, "damn nigga...just leave it be! It's not bothering you! No, actually, you don't need to retract it, especially not like that! Yes, everything is pretty sensitive down there...CUZ HE WAS WEARING A COAT AND YOUR MOUTH IS A FRIGGING ICE-LOCKER!!!!!"...I'd have many, many nickels.

I had mine circumcised when I was a kid for cultural reasons yeh and vaguely remember the day too but I was young and it’s probably false memory innit. But it’s one of those things I don’t remember having so I’m here like, ehh.... Consent would be nice though.
