I've thought of checking out gay bathhouses, or "health clubs" or "saunas" as I think they're described on Yelp, and just looking around. I'd prefer seeing a sex party play out but voyeurs aren't welcome. I don't know where I'd find booths.

I been to two bathhouses before. It was fun as sh*t actually. Mostly voyeurs inside with a lot of oral. My a$$ was in there playing around like a fvckin kid cause it was like a dark maze. A freaky gay funhouse. Not my thing to make a habit out of, but I like to experience different stuff. It was fun.

 

I've been once. I thought watching people would be hot to me, but I was so uncomfortable. It was what I could describe as a sex dungeon. A moist, dank sex dungeon. Eventually I just put my clothes on and went to joke around with the owner up front.

 

I got close to going into a sex club once about 12 years ago. I chickened out. I couldn't bring myself to do it. Strange because one my fantasies is to go to a bathhouse but that's not something I'd do in RL. Yeah I'm boring......lol.

No...went into the bath house to look around...again, that place was laid out! Didn't do anything.
Went into a booth at a porn shop back in 1996 and jacked off. This is the only time I did this.

Ha....I had a foursome before with my ex and a couple that was our neighbors. It was sooo hot and very sexy.

 

They are really nasty places...especially now I would think since they have really 'fallen off' since social media, hookup apps, etc.

After my partner's death I spiraled downhill and was a frequent visitor to them and this was not a good thing at all-part of a pattern of self-destruction-so that might color my viewpoint a bit.
I was at one for 3 days straight...that is not good. Hell I worked two blocks from one and I went there after work...just walked over...and stayed until it was time for work the next day and walked back to work. Same clothes but the smell of the place was on them and my coworkers knew what had happened and just laughed and snickered.

I was also at one where there was a stabbing and the place was on lockdown(a good reason why I always got a room not a locker) and one time at the other(there were two here in this city) I went into the sauna right after some guys rushed out and the guys still in there were in shock-the one guy had just stabbed the other and there was blood right there in the sauna. I also would sneak in vodka in my athletic bag and they never cared. I would share it too and nobody snitched. There were often people obviously high on drugs and a few times some 'freaked out'.

I had gone before just to have fun with friends(really, no sex) and there was fun stuff like playing naked volleyball in the pool and everyone having a good time, various ages, races, body types all getting along. When the ball left the pool whomever touched it last had to get out and get it, and everyone would whistle and hum that 'stripper song tune' by Henry Mancini and stuff...it was all fun and some guys would be shy but others were bold and would show off lol.

When I went after my partner died it was mostly negative and part of an escapism in sex and alcohol which almost killed me and it was much seedier really. I racked up most of my sex partners then(hard not to when you have sex with 12 different men in one outing).

Not proud of this at all, but none of you know me (or really want or need to know me) so why not confess here?

I would not advise going to any especially now since people say they have gone even further downhill than they were..and they were places where it was better to be a little drunk or high so you would not notice how they were..the smells were either bad or of heavy sanitation...smelling like bleach and sterile sometimes or smelling awful with floors slick and gummy with God knows what....

One thing I did notice was that there were more black men there than at any of the bars or clubs. Not sure why, but that was the way it was.

*tl;dr.... yeah bathhouses..at first no sex and cool, then it was part of a destructive cycle with much sex and mostly bad. Why not admit it? Nobody knows me here.

*the actual 'working out' facilities at both places were exceptionally well equipped and clean and sparkling...and almost never used. This was all also at least ten years ago or longer.

*and even with sometimes being drunk, I still knew what to not do sexually (it is not who you do, but what you do and how you do it) so I did not get HIV.... learn from this!
And yes, this is why much of my life is more of a cautionary tale-NOT to repeated.

 

Well in my experience it varied. Sometimes nasty and gunky, other times freshly bleached and scrubbed. Sometimes in between. But that was not recently.
