    Very interesting article. While I have no first hand knowledge of gang life I do see a similarity between gay gang members that are the subject of this piece and gay men in the armed forces. While I was in the service I met quite a few gay guys who defied gay stereotypes and actually take pride in their manliness and reject the popular image of homosexual men in media as effeminate, lisping queens.
