lol i have been caught couple times

 

I dont even be caring abt getn caught. I know how to stop before it gets creepy if I dont get any eye love back

 

The stuff ya'll said about poilite dudes has messed me up a few times too.I be like HOLD UP If you straight, you need to let me know right now cause I'm makin a fool outta myself.

 

This Oprah look is hilarious. I was in the break room laughing so damn hard. Everyone one was asking me what I was laughing at.

 

I think this sometimes too, but why do have this idea in mind? It's like saying that straight men can't be nice or friendly. I think it's real easy to put straight man in a box and say anyone who doesn't have those characteristics is automatically suspect which I guess is true sometimes, but sometimes it isn't.

 

For me the confusion comes in when the guys seem like they're really trying to get to know you and are going the extra mile beyond "hey bro what's up? how are you".That's when I start wondering if i should see what he's doing Saturday.

 

Yea man I've been in that situation sometimes too and it's mad confusing because you never know what the heck is going on. Some straight guys I've come across are real friendly and it throws me off.

 

I'm so glad this post was created. I feel like the big tip off for me is the stereotypical stare gay men give whether they are out or DL. There is this guy I work with that always giving me the eye every chance he gets and sometimes he makes it real obvious I think so that I can stare back at him. He will even clear his throat multiple times to get my attention which is hilarious to me lol. And then when we interact sometimes he seems to be nervous. But sometimes I question if maybe something else is going on. But what straight guy looks that much at you, I've also seen the way he stares at other dudes lol. But he is masculine and appears straight to everyone else. Have any of you guys been in a similar situation?

 

Just assume ev1 is str8 to keep from getn ur face cracked. Im fully aware of the fact that i run in a certain lane, so i rock w it but these days..ijs

Yea I hear you man, if it's a guy that I know for sure is gay/bi then yea I'll definitely do it like if im in a gay club or bar for instance. But outside of that for the most part when I see guys like that giving me those signs I'm pretty sure if I asked they would deny it so I don't even bother. Most guys who behave like that are on the DL so it's not worth looking into.

 

Chasing DL dudes was exciting at first then it just got frustrating and wasted a lot of valuable time...the dating equivalent to eating empty calories.

 

I've said in a later reply that this is not 100% fool proof. It's just a useful guide post in combination with other clues. That said it is easy to put people in boxes and that impulse should be resisted. I wouldn't say all straight men are jerks but a large number of them are. Sometimes it's not malicious it's just that straight men are raised to believe they're better superior to women and homosexual men and their attitude reflects that.

 

Yea man there is no good that comes out of chasing those guys, I learned that early on myself.

 

I get what you are saying man. With straight men I've come across straight guys that are the stereotype you describe and some that don't fit the stereotype.
