Father In Him: Do Your Past Partners Remind You of Your Father (or Prominent Male Figure)?

Yea, my dad wasnt bout shyt in his 20's, n neither were my 2 exes..

 

They didn't remind me of my father.He's one in a trillion.

 

Surface things are similar to my dad; tough background growing up, estrangement from their fathers, were able to rise above their circumstances and become successful and are kind of quirky. But none of them so far have had the same strength of character, sense of honor, or quiet strength he has.

 

Only in that most of the guys I've seriously dated have been past military or in para-military positions.
Both my father and step-father were a Marine and in The Army respectively.

I love my Step-Father but there's nothing about the type of man he is that I'd ever be attracted to.

 

I haven't had a partner but i don't see someone like him appealing to me. He's an alright guy but I think his overly laidback, stuck in his ways behavior would irk me. I have discovered that, in some ways, I may be more like him than I desire or ever expected, at least during the darker periods of my life.

 

Well I've always dated taller and Older(around @Nick Delmacy 's age) and generally more stable in life. I don't think I'm looking for a dad though, but I definitely like a man I can lean on.
