God Is Tryna Tell You Something

Past rends are often the best indicator of future ones.Look at where you've fit into situations in the past and what your role or strengths were ,and that may give you some idea.

 

I think there are some people like Russell Simmons, Oprah and Deepak Chopra that have spoken about the concept behind "being still". Stillness. Just listen. I know for me that it is trusting what he is plainly showing me in life. Humans... we like to make things more complicated than they really are but if we pay attention we will have all the answers we really need.

 

Personally i dont go out looking or seeking to hear the voice of God. But i have had situations were someone maybe told me a problem or something they are going through and i get "prompting" to help out or do something. Sometimes i may not help out immediately but it may be tagging at my heartstrings even for months until i do something. I consider that the voice of God

 

Maybe God just wants ppl to remember to be thankful for the fact that they have it so much better than many by comparison, and for the fact that they keep waking up everyday.

 

I don't think I've ever heard God (and if it happens/has happened, I doubt I'd believe it). I have gut feelings or sometimes feel that there are decisions that I should be making, but that's more my conscience and internal feelings of rightness and wrongness. Have you ever tried fasting or anything outside of your norm and had any unusual experiences?

 

I don't believe hearing God is necessarily a voice. It can be that discernment that comes over you and says don't do this or go there and when you follow those directions it saves you from something detrimental.

Funny you should post this topic because I was going through the exact same thing for my professional life. I decided to go on a fast and shortly thereafter I received the answers I was looking for. I've found that God typically "speaks" to me through other people. Case-and-point, my mom's college roommate was in town and gave me the right words and methods to decline a job offer without burning a bridge in the process. The next day, my favorite minister, who I literally see maybe 4 or 5 times a year (and even then it's in passing) was at church, alone and we had a conversation that lead me to a professional organization I had never even thought about joining and I had no idea her professional interests were similar to mine.

I imagine most people don't get angelic or divine visitations. You just have to sit back and watch for the signs.

Humans are spiritual beings. Even if one denies the existence of God, even they would be remiss to not acknowledge that there are some things in life that happen that our own human understanding cannot comprehend. We generally attribute these things to a higher power. That said, prayer, fasting, meditation, or "being still," forces us to turn inward and tap into our inner spirit. It forces us quiet things on the outside--all the noise in life, whether it's bad jobs, relationships, money problems, etc. When things are quiet, when our heads are clear and focused on finding direction , we are able to listen to what our inner spirit, or God, is telling us. At some point, something happens in the "spiritual realm," that offers us affirmation in the "natural realm," whether through someone speaking to us, or just by things merely working out.
