Here We Go...Dwight Howard

As someone who studied journalism, I feel that journalists are quick to publish information without fact checking first, all to be the first to get the scoop. This story has made its way out of the twitter universe and onto a reputable site like Newsweek. The interesting part is Newsweek regurgitated everything that was published on web all day. Allegation after allegation was put forth in this article and what message did they include on an updated version later? Mind you, this is included at the very bottom of the article:

Who does this? Once it's out there, it can't be taken back no matter how false the allegations prove to be. As @OckyDub and @Nick Delmacy put it, does anyone care that this person has slandered someone before with the same methods? IMO, if you know there were no facts presented, then the story should have been squashed until you had facts. This is downright tabloid ish here. And to make matters worse, there really is no recourse for Dwight if this is false. I'm sure Masin has no money so filing a lawsuit is pointless and publicizes the accusations even more. Just unfair to those that this has happened to. I'm speaking of innocent victims.

This was my first thought when it was posted, if DH could sue for libel...I keep hearing about editors for the New York Times and Washing Post having to run a lot of stuff pass their lawyers before they print thing, especially politics related. Seems like other celebs are fair game. Maybe there's a "Gossip Clause" in the law somewhere.

Im surprised Dwight's people (assistants lawyers, pr folk) didn't handle this before Hollywood 2.0 went public/ I mean Dwight has struggled as a player these last years or his career. This is aint really helping him.

I wonder why Hollywood 2.0 didn't just take the hush money and keep it moving.
After exposing an Athlete/Famous person who's goin to want to fool with you after this.

1. Key word "potential" meaning aint a damn thing been proven from a known femme slanderer and fraud (Masin).

But let me fully translate and interpret the sisterhood of gay logic here.

2. Dwight Howard is a SINGLE MAN.

3. DL means a man who is secretly homosexual but is in a relationship with a woman. For fem gay men and Black women, DL means, ANY non-heterosexual Black man who is not fem out loud and proud regardless if they are homo or bisexual.

4. Evan though the known fraudster and slanderer (Masin) is gay, gays need to support him over the straight (DL) dude because us queers need to stick together regardless of how messy and fraudulent one of our 'tribe' may be. He is a sister and us queers need to support or sisters no matter right OR WRONG OR CRIMINAL.

5. Calling out a fem scam artist goes against gay code and to call them out means you automatically are a self hating homophobe and you must be a supporter of DL homophobes.

This is why Cypher Ave will always be here to combat this foolish bullshit logic that exist in gay / queer culture.

PS....still waiting on the sisterhood tribe to defend one of their own who was called a "transsexual prostitute" who conducts raw sex parties and defend Playboi Carti who was also slandered by Masin.

 

Yeah if the "potential" was someone less messy and without a track record for making false allegations, we would likely be defending him if threats and violence were involved.

However, I would still be taking the side of the "closet case" over the gay dude if it were a case of someone trying to Out another many just because he was being cheated on or lied to...join the club, nigga. That's life. Brush that shit off and find a fellow fem man who is not "ashamed" or you. But no, they never do that because "Bottoms are gross" (even though they are Bottoms themselves, smh).

My colleagues are 98% Fem gay men and Black women. I learned about bundles in my orientation before I got my security badge.

 

I was thinking the same exact thing when this story broke. Other closeted pro athletes are definitely going to be even more reluctant to "live in their truth" and come out after this whole debacle.
