I don't mind paying my fair share, however, why should i have to subsidize someone else just because? This whole tax discussion is trivial. People are just picking a point and saying it will work. Hard work is penalized in this country.

Well wasn't the Republican candidate for Mayor of Atlanta handing out Church's chicken a few years back? Didn't she almost win against Kasim Reed?

 

I think it's a bad bill now, but I was watching CNN earlier and it was great to hear civil rights leaders and pundits point out that bill was more popular among democrats than republicans back then. Black leaders and pastors supported it. The environment was different back then. The point I was trying to make is he voted for it but he gets a pass, however, he routinely criticizes hillary's judgement for voting for the Iraq War. Can't have it both ways.

Absolutely not. I'm pointing out that there is no rhyme or reason to our tax system. I'm single with no kids. Uncle Sam eats my ass up every year and I've accepted that.

My point is i don't mind helping to pay for these things but I should have some say in how my tax dollars are spent. I know you wouldn't like your money being wasted. Not knocking Bernie, but he would have to show me the math of how he would pay for all of the things he's proposing.

 

Bernie is old and sick...he's dying up there because Gwen Ifill is in the bag for Hillary and refuses to take Commercial Breaks to give him a chance to take his pills.

It's easy for you to say until someone takes 48% of your money before you touch it. Many of the countries above us on this list are heavy in debt and struggling with inflation. Greece, Portugal, Spain all suffering. Not a good example @Ockydub
