Jessica Jones

Yeah, my cousin is trying to get me into this mess. I watched 5 minutes of it and just couldn't get into it. Hell, even my sister watches this and she is not into Marvel Comics or Sci-fi/fantasy. But, it's gaining momentum.

 

I watched the whole thing in 2 days, I enjoyed it a lot.

 

I like it, I knew about Jessica Jones before the series started so I was aware of her back story with the avengers and what not, its going to be interesting how/and if that part is going into the series cause originally she was a on their roster but not on the main one.

I like the style noir stories especially well made ones is a favorite genre of mine

 

I like that fact that the series is a dark drama but I think its a little slow for me. I will give it a couple more episodes.

 

I think there just trying to find a good balance between fans who know whats going to happen already and new people who don't a pretty sure next season they will pick it up.

 

If Mike Colter is in it count me in! Love his character on the Good Wife!!

 

I loved it.I'm used to anti-heroes,but no so much a story about a hero told from this type of perspective.She reminds me of Faith Lehane,in that she's a self-loathing reformed killer with super strength.

 

I think I watched it in about two nights.Everytime i was ready to get to a stopping point,something major would happen with Killgrave and I had to keep going.

 

I was bored as fuck watching the 3 or 4 episodes that I could struggle through. Mike Colter is hot, but I just couldn't do it.

The Jessica character's personality was annoying as shit, why the fuck would Kilgrave be so obsessed with that bratty, smart-mouthed, non-compassionate, stuck up bitch? Even Luke Cage's motivation for even giving her the time of day was nonexistent.

And the skinny black dude is a crack-head? Really? And the white people are all affluent lesbians?

 

The Doctor-I mean,Killgrave wanted her for he power at first I think.Then he just wanted to win her over because of their history and such.Plus u know,she's like a 10 to white guys.

You gotta admit though,she was an interesting character.Especially in the world where you have glorious heroes like Cap and Thor,you have this chick trying to drink herself into oblivion and pay the rent.

 

But her character was distasteful on every level...I could see if she had a charm to her... Whatever, to each his own, lol... tons of shows that I love that others think is crap as well, lol

 

I think that was the point.She was fckd up and that's what was interesting.

I really enjoyed it. The messiness of the character was awesome along with the underlying theme of "PTSD from rape." And it really showed how dangerous and destructive mind control is.

 

It definitely seemed like some episodes were just there to fill out the season (maybe Netflix is obligated to produce a certain number of episodes). I think the show would have been fine with a total of 7-8 that stuck with the main story.
