    His ass needed to be ejected and fined in addition to the suspension. His actions were horrible.

    Giants receiver Odell Beckham practically begged the NFL to suspend him with his actions on the field in Sunday’s loss to the Panthers, and the NFL has obliged.

    The league announced this afternoon that Beckham has been suspended one game for his repeated personal fouls against the Panthers on Sunday.

    Beckham and Panthers cornerback Josh Norman were jawing, pushing and shoving for much of the game, but Beckham took it further than that when he lowered his helmet and delivered a shot into the head of Norman. With the NFL’s emphasis on protecting players from brain injuries, there’s not much way the NFL could justify failing to suspend Beckham for that.

    The suspension for Sunday night’s game against the Vikings will be without pay, and Beckham has the right to appeal

    At 1st it was entertaining and I though it would be just good man on man sportsmen-ship rivalry. Yeah I like Odell and hope he learns from his mistake but looks really bad for the game of football. I was surprised that refs didn't eject him or that any of his team mates did not grab him by the collar and give him a good talking too. He let his emotions get the best of him. Someone really could have got hurt really bad.

    Sure he have been suspended for one game? Sure, but Josh Norman and a couple other players should have at least been fined. It was a lot going on during that game and even before the game started. He'll appeal and probably win, strictly based on the fact that sanctions were only levied on him.

    I definitely don't think more than that should happen.

    Wow. I like him but that was uncalled for. Unfortunately, I expect this with contact sports. That's one reason that I never played in school besides being too skinny.

    Even though I'm happy that the panthers won. Its sad cause Odell let everyone have the recipe to get to him; mess with his head. Many players see him as a diva and a little soft, being he's a wide-receiver ( who are known for diva behavior) , an instagram attentioniato, and with his hair and nike commercials. He really made it to easy for people to get to him. It was also was rumored that somebody made "homophobic" comments and "threatened" his life. What ever that means.​

    I don't know how accurate the media reports are but from what I've read it seems that the helmet incident was in retaliation for homophobic slurs directed at OBJ by Josh Norman. Whether this is true or hearsay I don't know but it does provide some explanation as to the motive behind this.
