ObamaCare Open Enrollment

I know whole families that don't pay that much. You don't qualify for any of the subsidies? Or did you choose one of the highest tier plans?

 

Obamacare is expensive and done cost the democratic governor of Kentucky to lose his job. I don't know anyone, off the top of my head, that has Obamacare but every time I hear about it on the news, people are complaining about it being too high. You're single though so it should be much cheaper for you.

Yeah! Take a second look at whatever plans you signed up for before officially moving forward. Make sure that whatever insurance companies you sign up for make it crystal clear what will and will not be paid for. At this moment, I'm glad I'm employed and for the most part, most costs will be taken care of.

I actually think Obamacare is awesome. I just thing the rollout and marketing of it were atrocious. I was trying to make the argument that people who are helping citizens obtain coverage(Kentucky Governor) are being penalized because some people think it's bad. I remember, years ago, I had individual health insurance through Blue Cross and it wasn't that expensive. It may have been cheaper than Obamacare by a pretty good margin.

 

Obama care is awesome! but, I checked into it earlier this year and it was high in my opinion. When I was looking into it, the cost was $258 here in florida. I thought that was steep considering on average it would cost me about $78 per pay period on my last job. But, the job also was my subsidy... I will be penalized on my taxes this year because i did not sign up.

 

Wow, that's cheaper Cobra. Back in 2010, after a layoff, I was paying about $400 for Cobra for medical and dental. If the Affordable Care act was in place then, I would have been so much happier.

 

The key to Obamacare, particularly for those people who are purchasing plans in the exchange is to shop around. Don't just click the first option presented. I feel like there are affordable plans for everyone.

 

Man I just had the OPPOSITE experience on the phone with them...The dude sounded 18 years old and he kept reading from a script. 15 minutes wasters.

 

Yeah I immediately called back...this time I got a Sistah Gurl like Jamelia named Shanice...she was on it, walked me through to the info I needed.

 

Finally enrolled before the deadline next week. My total for somewhat decent Health Care and Dental plans was only about $45 after working my magic with the numbers.

Yeah per month...Silver Tier Blue Cross Health Plan and a separate dental plan.
