    I love this Australian show 'Please Like Me'. I found it while 'Looking HBO',my BEST gay series, was on hiatus. It started last year,I think its showing in the US. During the promotion of the show the maker also the lead actor, talked about how Gay guys are the worst. He is gay too, about how they tell him to paint his show all 'shiny and beautiful' to show the gay community in a good light and how he got more of these pressure when trying to show air his series on American TV stations. His response was 'Fuck Off'. He based his stories on his life experiences and that's how they would remain and that's what he will choose to show!
