Power Man, I Mean Luke Cage 1st Impressions?

I just added it to my Queue. I liked Daredevil because of the cinematography. It was just shot differently. I haven't read any comics that were solely based on a black center figure so I am excited to watch.

How is the production value? Did Netflix spend some money?

 

I like this shit. I just watched the scene in the funeral home and just started beaming looking at the two principle characters, Luke and Cornell, aka "Cottonmouth." They are terrific actors and damn, if these aint some sexy niggas! @Ockydub , it just dawned on me how black this show really is. All dark skinned people in here. Lol. And good looking ones!

I just watched the first episode and I have to say that I am already hooked. No spoilers, just yet.

 

I enjoyed the first half more than the later episodes. But overall a good show.

 

I just watched the first half. I have to say that I love that this show is unapologetically black. 2nd, the acting coming from this ensemble cast is phenomenal. Some of the best-scripted drama I have seen on TV in awhile. 3rd, all the haters who have been calling Luke Cage a racist show needs to have several fucking seats in the back of the room. 4th I can't wait for the weekend so I can binge the other half.

 

I definitely think some of it is trolling to drive traffic (particularly) the think pieces I am seeing coming across the internet. Twitter is just Racist AF.

What I have learned is that disgruntled white people don't want to see Black people have anything. Not even one Marvel TV show. Literally, every other Marvel TV Show has all white casts with token persons of color on each show.
