I'll go out on a limb and predict that these people calling you that are single and lonely...as you can see, there's a reason for that.
I don't know why people can't let other people live they life...but like @Nick Delmacy said, the people who quick to judge someone for being a sellout are the same one's who are lonely AF, can't hold a relationship of their own and always trying to project their own insecurities on others.
They are actually. They are both the "I'm single and playing the field while dumping people for dumb ass reasons type". It's funny to me really. They try to get all deep and state they want their children to look like them and to not lose their culture, blah blah blah. As far as I know they're not birthing any babies with these men anyway so I don't get it.

While riding Marta this week I have seen many non black men of debatable ethnicity and defined racial make Ups as well who I have found attractive. I don't see why people would have a problem with OTHER people dating non blacks. I only question it when anyone avoids their own racial makeup. I just think when you are A and will date everything B to Z but won't consider A,thats a red flag. But if that's the case, I'm not on a person's radar so it's moot. Blacks dating non black people is not being a sellout. So people need to take their Butt Hurt and pack it up somewhere, make some popcorn, pick out a nice reisling, put on their turbans and housecoats, sit down and watch Something New.
This. It's okay to date a white guy or someone outside of your race, but if you ONLY date white guys and refuse to date someone from your race, you definitely have deeper issues.
Ok.. Date who you like. PERIOD. Screw any rules. Some people have issues dating out of their "race". For example, (and I'm not trying to offend anyone) but have you noticed that Asian men tend to date white men? In general it seems, to me, that most people won't date out of their race or ethnic group because they fear what others- their peers, might think.
Yea, a Chinese born girl I went to college w told me that scoring a white partner is the 'Asian American dream'. Smh.

Hmmm, just because I'm black? What if I were bi-racial? Would I get a pass for only dating White men then? This seems like a similar opinion of the dudes who called you a sellout. My attitude is do what makes you happy, if you want to date outside your race, cool...if you only want to date within your race, cool...if you only prefer to date a particular race, cool...Either option, you are hurting no one.
So is this purely a physical "like" or does it have something to do with culture? Do you place that much though into making a determination of what you like? I guess I could understand if the dating tenancies came from experiences (like your tastes for different flavors), however, a lot of people are just hesitant to try new or different things. Is it hurting anyone? Probably not, but it is limiting... and still a personal choice. (no judgement)

Exactly. There are people out there that feel like if you specifically date one race and it's not your own that you have issues. What race someone prefers means nothing to me. Do I wonder the reasons why they exclude a whole race? It's interesting so I might wonder, but I don't care enough to actually ask. I like who I like at the end of the day and so does everyone else.
Yeah I would wonder why someone would exclude their own race. I would love to date men of African descent but there are some fine Latino men down in South Florida. Even White, Asian, Indian, Middle Eastern.... FINE IS FINE at the end of the day lol

Yeah man! I get so passionate about this because dudes be all for you dating who you like EXCEPT when what you like excludes them! Like the effeminate dudes we argued with back in the Discreet City days who were shouting "Live in your truth, honey!" but then had SERIOUS problems when they found out that truth was limited primarily to an attraction for Masculine Men. They said the same thing, we had "issues" and were self-hating and were internally homophobic and were "limiting our options"...
Well I have had a few dudes tell me I wasn't hood enough for them. Which if I were someone else that could've deterred me from even being interested in any other black men just out of fear of being rejected by my "own kind".
Lol I think it's common knowledge a lot of gay men are attracted to masculinity. Now whether they choose to strictly date masculine men is something different. I wouldn't consider myself uber masculine or uber feminine, but I'm not going to give a shit if I'm not masculine enough for someone or think there is this deep hurt in them because of it. I don't believe it's self hatred. To me self hatred is sleeping with women knowing you're gay.

I have my righteous and ratchet sides lol. Usually properly speaking but I can have that SW Houston come out from time to time and of course the Nigerian accent hahaha.
