    I'm reminded how I was scolded in a Facebook thread by older and younger gays, that I lacked an opened mind and was not cultured because I had never seen Paris Is Burning...but yet they had never seen classics like The Warriors or Apocalypse Now.

    What? They have never seen "The Warriors" or "Apocalypse Now?" I don't know why I'm surprised I shouldn't be. It says a lot about the people. I'm guessing these are effeminate gays you're talking to on Facebook. I find both Warriors and Apocalypse to much more interesting and dynamic than some guys voguing.

    Funny how they say you're not "cultured" or "open minded." To me it takes more of an open mind to watch something which is not directly related to your own experience. So a fem gay male gets no extra points for only watching a movie about other fem gay males doing funny dances but never watching films about fictional NYC gangsters in the late 1970s or the Vietnam War.

    Being a "movie" guy, I've seen & like all 3.
    None of them relate to my own personal experiences but I appreciate each for what they offer.
    Through older eyes however I find that The Warriors was kinda super gay!
