Old school brotha here. Just trying to connect with folks. Originally from Chi, started out straight, then DL, now descreet same gender loving male, writing my first fictional memoir. Love this site because it reminds me of the old school days when men were men who are attracted to men who act like men. Well those are my four major interests in life. I think that if you really want to get to know someone, you prolly might have to be a fly on the wall in someone's home and really see how they act, by themselves and the people around them. The social awkward penguin pic beside my face is there for a reason. I have an Associate's Degree in Computer Drafting and Design. Apparently liking something is just not enough. I guess there is indeed some type of talent one must have (ain't nobody tell me NUTHIN' before I went to damn college). I think that Thomas Jones is the best looking ideal type of MAN that God has ever created that I've seen on the Internet and real life combined (don't tell him I said that because he's straight, but that's my "type"). Uhmm, and yeah. I actually like being by myself. Unless I can subconsciously make people naturally like being around me, I rather be by myself under my WiFi connected to my tablet, phone, or laptop. I've been so used to being by myself since '88. And uh... thanks for reading about me.

Why ain't nobody tell me Cypher Avenue got rid of the Activity Stream. I've been looking for that thang for a month.

Anyway, I'm 35 years old, tall and still working on being slim.

I used to be a lurker on on Discreet City and the old Activity Stream but I'm looking to come out of the closet so to speak. LOL. Nah, I've never been a lurker to be honest. Been a fan of the work of Nick and Ocky since 2012 and this reincarnation of Cypher Avenue is hot. Nice to see new names being active on the threads. Brings some fresh blood to the site. Now that i've gotten settled into my new place and new city, I hope to be back in the thick of things on the site.

My name is Michael. I am 27 and currently in law school. I am a Florida native but have resided in Chicago for the past 7 years. I really appreciate this website (flaws and all) because it provides a platform for gay men of color to discuss prevalent issues within our community. Most of my time has been spent in the shadows listening to podcasts and reading articles. Apparently that kind of behavior is known as lurking and something about that doesn't sit well with me. With that, I've decided to come out and join to the online community of cypher avenue.
