As we’ve previously posted, the creators of “The D.L. Chronicles” are gearing up for a return of the series with new episodes beginning in 2012. They’ve launched a fundraiser with a goal of $125,000 and as of this posting they’re $23,000 closer to reaching it with well over a month left to go.In conjunction with the fundraiser, they’re releasing a four-part web series called “The Chadwick Journals” which serves as a prequel to the first season of the show. The Webisodes follow the narrator of the TV series, Chadwick (once again played by Damian Toofek Raven), as he begins his original interviews for the stories he’s seen writing.This first episode is called “Donovan” co-starring Nic Few as the title character and is embedded for your viewing pleasure below. I’ll keep my actual review of the episode to myself for now (until after the releasing of all four of them) but many of you regular readers probably already know how I feel after you watch. At the very least it looks well made and begs the question if they can do this decent 5-minute web series for free, why do they need a whopping $125,000 (in this economy)? Why not $75,000…or even $25,000? But I digress…
