Me too!! I usually go out once every decade lol and when I do, I really GO OUT. Like I enjoy myself and have lots of fun. I am 26 now and I couldn't have said it better. I am getting into the chill vibey spots like lounges and non-wild house parties. Clubbing in Seattle is a helluva experience affair : $20 parking, $20-40 admission, $50-100 drinks. I am like no! that goes in my savings account.

Just got back from Chicago...in Asheville, NC for a conference I'm presenting at in this weekend. Conference in Minneapolis in November. Another conference in Houston in first part of December. Hanging in ATL for a week in middle of December, going "home" to NY on Christmas for a few days. Then more to come in 2016.

Yeah no dude...you and your friends better pre-game before you leave, if you drink too much Uber is pretty cheap lol and if you split it then it'll be even cheaper...have to be economical in these tumultuous times lol...

I know it's definitely not practical, but I prefer going to a new place and staying there for as long as possible. Preferably for at least a month. Anything less than that feels too superficial. I'm not really the sight seeing type. I like to meet and interact with locals and fellow travelers. That takes time. With that said, I've realized that most of my traveling has taken place abroad. I haven't really traveled domestically all that much. I'm sure my mindset would change if I did more of it.

I'll be in Ft. Lauderdale next week for work then going to Miami to catch my first cruise to the Bahamas. After that, I'm done traveling until March for my 30th birthday. I believe I'll be doing Vegas.

Most of my travels have been abroad as well, so I'm definitely the same way. Never really been a touristy person. I'm always interested in doing/living as the locals due, finding the hot spots and learning the area that way. I've been traveling domestically more these days since my move to NYC, and typically spend 1-2wks at each new place. @SirRashed86 def hit me up when you come up if you want to grab lunch or something.

Oh and I'm planning a trip to Toronto myself @bpaisle. What all did you have in mind for yours? I may come up around the same time, so private msg me if you'd like to coordinate something.

3 of my best friends and I are taking our first group trip to ATL in November. It's the start of more travels as a group, and also for me just going around and seeing this world of ours. Time to get my passport renewed.

Headed to DC for a few days to visit my daughters. Still trying to figure out Thankgiving, Christmas, and New Years.
Do I stay in Chicago, go visit the family in New York City, take a trip to Bentonville Ak (vist my bestie)?.

Some of these air fares I have been seeing lately are nice.. may need to do a weekend excursion someplace fun.

Also, I'm trying to plan an international trip next year. I've been leaning towards this Italian bike tour that my alumni association is doing next August.. We'll see.

International? Nice. Have you thought about any developing countries too? Your money goes a lot farther there.

I have. In comparison to the developed countries I've been to, it was so much cheaper. Just don't appear too flashy. They're poorer countries so people are more likely to take advantage of tourists. Most of my experience has been in Asia, but I had friends visit South America and Africa. I figure if you're going to buy an international plane ticket, it'll be a similar price anywhere, so you might as well go somewhere where it's cheaper. You can go many places. If you wanna get crazy, there's places like Thailand. A lot of the South American countries like Peru have excellent history and tourist sites. No place in particular. All I'm saying is whatever experience you wanted in Europe, you might be able to find in a developing country for cheaper.

Not too much traveling. I will be in Atlanta next weekend for work, and then I head to Durham, NC for leisure. May go somewhere for NYE and then Los Angeles for MLK Weekend :D

Now you guys are talking my area of expertise. Before booking a trip to a foreign country outside of the Western world, i.e., Industrialized developed nations, do your research. Check out Department of State Travel Warning site: Travel
I would also research your potential travel destination with the CIA World Factbook: The World Factbook

The State Department has an excellent app that gives you all the information you need for foreign travel: passport/visa requirements, embassy information, and travel alerts.
