Tekken 7: Fated Retribution

When I tell you I'm so hype about this game! Why? Because my girl Nina Williams is back!



I love floating any juggling mofos in the air with this woman. She's got got juggles, commands grabs, unblockables,and moves connect well and she's got speed. I have really enjoyed this game series since I got my Playstation on 9/9/95.

Then Akuma is coming as well and we still have Tekken x Street Fighter to hopefully come out of vapor ware.




I am eventually going to get a Playstation 4, since that's where the best Tekken players are allegedly, but I'm not sure if that will be before this game drops on consoles. Will definitely getting my practice in on Xbox One since Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is upcoming on the back compat list.

Sooooo hype!

 

Well the cost of entry is higher but over time, video game consoles are the cheapest form of entertainment when factoring in the cost per hour.

I would definitely get one of bundles that come with a free game or two. The new consoles do so much more than gaming with Blu-ray, streaming services. But you'd have to find a game you really want to play to really justify dropping 299-399 for if you got a Playstation 4 or Xbox One.

Though you could probably get a ps3 or xbox 360 and be fine and not be out of pocket much. There are plenty of good games and it doesn't have to be a new game for you to enjoy it.

 

Yep. Tekken really became more visceral at Tekken 3. I think it's the animation, motion capture and camera angles. Namco is really the best at that. Even in Mortal Kombat the animation looks just a little off to me the way some of the characters walk and kick. And Street Fighter characters look too cartoony. Tekken comes off more life like. Not saying that MK or SF are bad games.

 

It worked out ok for Killer Instinct on Xbox One. We get season three next month. KI let's your only pay for what you want which is good. I only main 2 characters per game anyway so there's not much into having everyone on the roster unless you play locally but I did buy season one and two fully at launch for the original arcade emulations and will do the same for season three (and Hitman)

You can earn colors and costumes with game play or jump ahead with cash. As long as there's options for earning things via play or earned in game currency, I'm OK with this business model. But not if paying gives a person advantages over other non paying people. This applies to all games using this model.

 

Im just ok with it. I hope it's not where the industry is heading. Honestly only certain titles can even think about getting away with this model. I don't think anyone cared about Dead Or Alive Final Round which also went this way.

I do agree that these Definitive/Deluxe/Platinum editions are out of hand for 80-120 over the standard $60 versions. Now I just wait on that extra stuff to go on sale. Then when stores have different versions... The Best buy version comes with this but the Amazon version has that and the game stop version has something else. It's crazy.
