This is (believe it or not) is STEAK AND EGGS! lol. The steak is tartare (RAW filet mignon) with some capers and yes that is eggs on the top with fish eggs and greens and with ketchup and mustard. This is just ridiculous. If someone dared to serve this to me, the look they would get. *Feel free to add your own nasty food items to the thread if you want.
I would absolutely eat it. Steak and Tuna tartare are both delicious to me. All I would need is some seasoning lol. I'm a foodie though.
I mean I would try a lot of stuff(I used to love Top Chef-followed it from the very beginning) but this is just too much. This is not 'steak and eggs' and it is a disgrace to call it that and an insult to real steak and eggs. They just need to call it something that is really a better descriptor lol. F@ck eating raw undercooked meat and seafood, including fish(sushi) and yes, that includes ceviche because the acid cooking process does not kill all potential parasites and the thought of getting some worm infestation is one of my worst nightmares so NO!!!! to uncooked/undercooked meat and fish! *barfs at the thought of eating this thing*. 'Sweet' and 'Meat' do not go well together usually for me-this is a good example. Why ruin good bacon like that?
Technically, it is steak and eggs lol. It's an interpretation and play on words, which it totally acceptable and up to artistic license lol. Sushi is one of my favorite foods. Love ceviche too. One of my favorite phrases is "Don't yuck my yum." Something can not be for you with you bashing it lol. Plenty of people eat it or it wouldn't be a thing lol.
Deconstructed steak and eggs my foot. If you don't construct my meal with some heat! Lol I wanna know what drugs where American housewives taking during that period where they were serving stuff in gelatin?
OK now....this is getting personal. This is my people's food dammit and yes I ate plenty of jello molds! They are/were a midwestern white staple! The top one actually looks kind of good. Shows you can use a bundt cake pan for more than just cakes. Actually seafood does go better in jello molds than meat, and chicken is better than other meats when used in jello molds. If that bottom one were chicken and it was in some kind of tomato/aspic/barbecue flavor it might be pretty good. Fruit cocktail jello molds with nuts, celery carrot shavings made with lime jello is a favorite of mine!
Nooooooooooo! Jello is only good for desserts! Not for savory dishes! Now I could probably take a tomato types dish. I mean it's is fruit. But I'm not really a fan of cold meat unless it's sammich meat. Lol
The shrimp and tomato ones are really not that different from shrimp cocktails..just with jello kind of congealing it all together. I will admit that these are actually something that you have to be brought up with eating. They can be kind of an acquired taste. The worst one I have seen was some traditional Scandinavian thing with fish heads and whole eggs in it. No thanks.
Yeah that I can understand, an acquired taste. I mean... I get gelatin comes from bones so it makes sense in a way... But I just can't get over it. Maybe this is why people were smaller than they are now?lol
See now I've been wanting to go to a fair just to try this. My Sister says they always have them at Fairs in Tampa but she's too disgusted by the thought.
I may be willing to nibble a bit on the steak and eggs raw ordeal. However, that bacon burger on a donut, I don't even understand how that works out. I didn't understand it when it was on BOONDOCKS either
