Just watched this about like an hour or so ago and I've always had this kinda mind set. I just wish sometimes that it wasn't true or at least a bit easier to handle

I am not working (by choice) and find that my sense of loneliness has deepened in part because most of my friends work. It was unsettling at first but after a while I realized that I have much more time to do the things I want and when I do spend time with friends I am more interested in them than I used to be.

 

Good little video. I do think that there needs to be a distinction made between loneliness, and just being alone. Some people(like myself)naturally need to spend a decent amount of time alone. Even with my partner who I was very close to, I still spent significant periods of time alone('why do you spend so much time alone..it just isn't right!' he would say). Loneliness is when you are alone, but don't want to be. I have known this(and the pain of it), but I also know the times when I have been with people..surrounded by them...and all I wanted was to be alone!

I also disagree that art results from loneliness. People are driven to create art I think, and they choose to be alone and spend the time to make it. Loneliness is not a choice, alone-ness is a choice. There is a difference.

*Also relationships are not about finding someone who understands and gets you completely. It is about finding the things, and the times, when that does happen with another person, and celebrating those unique things among other things, like differences, discoveries, etc.
But again I have never understood those people who, when looking for a relationship, look for a virtual clone of themselves.
