    Just in case anyone is interested, I found out about this app that I have been using called "Fooducate" it tracks foods, have an awesome review community but most importantly grades food from A+ to F- and provides good alternatives when you are about to buy something unhealthy.

    Dude, I only spent about $35-40 MAX for all of that food and it lasted me the whole week. Actually its cheaper than eating out everyday.

    Goodness, aside from the leafy greens in the pics, and the eggs ya'll eat a grip of sugar.

    And don't anyone say that fruits are"natural sugar" please. The body can't tell the difference, sugar is sugar.

    But that's just my 2 cents I walk a different path of "dieting"

    Hmmmm, I hear what you're saying bro but I don't think that anyone stated that the point of this was to "diet" or to lose tons of weight... It was mainly to eliminate unhealthy processed foods like fast food, cookies, chips, alcohol, etc from the daily meal plan...

    I'm not sure that any dietitian or doctor would argue against a person eating veggies, eggs or fruit over burgers, fries and soda pop.

    Well if the point was to eliminate sugar then I think that the pictures would have looked a bit different. I don't think going on a diet was the point, either. I think the point was eliminating a bunch of unhealthy processed shit and eating healthier. Either way, we're different so whatever "path" your on is your choice and I'll do what works for me.

    Touche Nick, I agree on behalf of the veggies and eggs, but not so much the fruit as they have the same sugar content as a soda. Getting healthy isn't simply a matter of eating right and working out. But kind of more like a journey of self discovery of your own body.

    I totally DISAGREE! To say that fruit is just as bad for you as soda is insane, homie. Unlike soda, fruit contains fiber, potassium, vitamin C, antioxidants and so many other side benefits to the sugar that soda, cookies and cake does not.

    True, eating nothing but massive amounts of fruit for breakfast, lunch and dinner is not ideal...but its not like you're just eating 100% concentrated sugar wrapped in a colorful skin.

    You can get the same amount of fiber and potassium if not more from things like leafy green vegetables like spinach and broccoli and cabbage. You can get all you vitamins from healthy meats and fats like avocado with little to no sugar content.

    People eat fruits because they are sweet and fulfill that desire, but in actuality fruits are not sweet. In the wild fruits are bitter because its a survival mechanic to keep people and animals away. They're sweet now because they are modified that way. In fact, eating random things like berries and fruits in the wild, could get you killed.

    I am usually pretty conscious of what I eat. I have always been a slender guy so gaining weight has never been a serious issue for me. In fact, it is the other way around. I have to consume more "healthy carbs" and protein to gain. Also, of course getting my ass in the gym. I was working out with a friend of mine and we both enjoy exercising without weights. He combines yoga and martial arts together. The only issue for me is the holidays-a brother will be fucking up potato salad, mac cheese and everything else.

    What I mean by self-discovery is that one has to learn about not only the body in general but about their own body and how it reacts to things. For example, like how things are digested in the body like digesting a piece of meat versus chips.

    Like if you have a gunked up liver its harder to lose weight, or if your gall bladder is gunked up its hard to digest your fats. If you have low stomach acid you can't digest your food properly and your body can't absorb it well. Or too much sugar disrupts hormone production of the pancreas. Things like that.

    Then from there its just testing what your own body is sensitive to. Food Allergies pretty much.

    Man, we could go back and forth on this all day...but yes I'm sure that many fruits have been genetically modified. Even vegetables have as well...Hell, even the meats we eat that aren't organic.

    But I can't get on-board the "Fruits have zero benefit and all dangerous sugars" train. Besides, why the hate for all-things sugar? If the only point of eating is to consume tasteless calories for survival and not pleasure then MANY healthy foods can be eliminated from our diets.

    Lol, I'm enjoying the back and forth. And full disclosure I don't have much of a sweet tooth anymore.

    Like I'll give you an anecdote, my mother was told by her doctor to stop eating so many sweet fruits because it was messing with her cholesterol levels.

    But it's not really a "hate" for sugar, its because of what it does. its the reason people gain weight essentially that's all I'm saying.
