Could you date someone with the same name as you?

F#ck, no. I hate my first name. LOL But I do think it's kool to see guys together that have the same first name.

 

It would be weird. I mean, how am I supposed to feel if we was getting it in and I was like "yeah, beat it up...James..." I'd pause. I'd be confused.

 

LOL You actually say the other person's name during sex? I mean, I know people do it and it's not unusual but, I've NEVER mentioned the other dude's name, no matter which "end" of the stick I've been on. You'll get a "damn pa!" or "toma papi!" but thas about it.

 

With a hookup they gets Nathan, but if we are actually dating...yes I call them by their name.

LMAO That makes sense, in a way. I...HATE, being called "Daddy" during sex. Not because my age but because it sounds DUMB f@$kin corny, but Papi/ Pa' I don't mind. It's literally the same thing, but for some reason saying/ hearing it in Spanish (for me) takes the edge off. LOL!! Weird how guys have so many different nuances.

That is such a trivial matter to me. If it bothers you that much, use their middle name, their last name, their nickname, or just call them an endearing pet name like asshole.

 

Yea, eventho I always hated my name growing up. But if I can give someone named Tre'dayvion a shot, I can at least give my/a familial namesake the time of day

 

I could date someone with the same name as me. I've even dated someone with the same name as my father. It wasn't as awkward as you'd think.

 

Since my name isn't that common I never thought about it; but by chance if I did meet someone with the same name as me I don't think I could fade that.

 

I was pursued by a dude with my brother's name,and another with my father's name,and I'm not ever about to say I touched the penis of someone with my father's name
Dude would have to be known only by his middle name to me.
However,I'd change my name for Andra Fuller.

 

Then again,my biological dad is named Undra,so someone with my frist name might feel weird too.

My mom basically saved my father as that in her phone for the longest.When I was 12 I went out with some friends and kept her phone so my parents could contact me from his.My friends were very confused as to why Bootyhole was calling .

I actually have a MAJOR crush on a guy now who's name is the same as my dads...I'm really conflicted lol...but it seems that he likes to go by his middle name so that makes things better! I guess I could do it..would just be weird at first...

 

I could date some one with the same name as me or any of my family members. I would just create a nick name to call them.

 

After high school and before college I was in this summer program and this one dude I had a crush on had the same name as me. Unfortunately I can't remember his last name to stal..uhm.. look him up on Facebook.

 

I wouldn't, I have the most common and basic name and it annoys me.

It would annoy the shit out of me. My dad and my granddad have the same name as me sooooo a dude I'm dating would be pushing it.

 

I wouldn't want to, but I'm not sure it would matter as I create nicknames for all of the people I really care about.

Yes, I could. I instantly like people with my name--male or female. I used to not like my name and remember getting teased for it when I first started school. When I got older, I started to appreciate it and like it more, as I appreciated my own individuality. Frankly, the few guys I've come across with my name were all sexy. The only females were little girls, but their parent's were nice looking. lol.

Random stories about my name, which is not a common black person or male name...
1) My first and middle name comes from a police detective in a movie. My dad, who was drunk and playing pool when I was born, was 23 and thought the name was cool. Thank God he turned out to be right. But again, it took me a minute to realize that.
2) While at work during high school, a woman saw my name tag and insisted on me taking a photo with her daughter, who had the same name. This was when AOL dial up first came out, so Facebook wasn't even thought of, and we were still doing scrapbooks and shit. That means, I'm in some random white people's family vacation photo album as the "nice black boy we met at the museum who has '<Little Becky's>' name."
3) Speaking of name tags, fate randomly placed me in the company of a man working in the meat dept at a Safeway, who I saw had the same first name and middle initial. At first I wasn't going to say anything to the guy, but something compelled me to ask his last name. Lo and behold, we had the exact same name altogether. First, middle and last. We showed each other licences to prove it.

 

I was talking to this guy who had the same name, things started getting hot and heavy, and I kind of sighed "His out more so to get him to stop since I wasn't trying to go there yet. He responded with a playful "Say your name," I laughed. I think I could do it, though, I'd just get confused if we were both together and someone called to us.

 

I think it'd be weird at first. But I have a self-made nickname. Some friends just call me by my last name as well.

 

There can only be one Kevin. I won't rest until all others have been wiped from the planet.
