Hmmmm...I think that porn is very hot. The thing with porn though is that it's a fantasy. I'd rather be turned on by Whats happening in the moment than compare it to porn.

 

To answer the question you posed (that was somewhat buried in there), I definitely get "performance anxiety" sometimes due to me watching porn. Not too many people have the body or stamina that porn stars have...even then, the stamina is often faked as the moments when the actors get tired or "soft" are edited out to make it seem like one long steamy session.

So sometimes, being the Top with a Bottom, in most situations I get the feeling that I have to put on a Porn Star type performace.... when most times the other dude is just enjoying the intimacy and being together, regardless of "beating it up." But then again, I don't do hookups...I think men on hookups may be expecting that Porn experience more than anything...

 

I think that being a porn star or fucking like a porn star is all relative to the situation. If I am with someone I am vibing with, I want to give them the best experience possible. If it is just a hook-up (which I have had from time to time), then it really is about getting that person off as well as myself. I also think that porn offers interesting suggestions for things to do in the bedroom...some of which are mad effective especially when you put your own skills/expertise to it.

 

I find it challenging to not try to outlast the other person. I think I have a high stamina because of porn sometimes and so it makes things a bit more challenging to be in the moment.

 

Also porn stars do things to make themselves last longer too so... I don't think for me the point is to go all night. For example, if the session lasts from the initial contact to the orgasm being 30-60 minutes I'm good. Give me about 15-20 and I'll be OK for round two but I'm just not in cardiovascular shape to be pumping for 30 minutes straight and hell sometimes I just want to climax so it's not something I'm trying to make taking an hour.

I very rarely watch "professional" porn because it's too fake for me. The acting is annoying and I can tell the guys aren't really into it. I'd rather watch more amateur and "home made" porn. It's more realistic and the people seem like they're actually enjoying themselves.

So to answer your question, no, I don't try to fuck like a pornstar or emulate porn actors. It gives you unrealistic expectations.

 

Porn stars are paid and directed to grunt, groan, gyrate, and thrash about. Instead of f**king like a porn star, I think f**king like wild animals is more natural.

 

Porn star "f*cking" is generally staged for consumer consumption. Sometimes it's hot. And sometimes, it's not. But, for the most part, it's "play for pay" on each of the actors' part. And if the participants are sexy and handsome with hot bodies, I don't really give a F*ck if they are just going through the motions. I'd still watch until I "gets mines."

But every so often, you happen upon a scene where you can see the actors are hot, handsome, and obviously into each other. And while it may be that these scenes are just being expertly directed and edited, the viewer gets the sense that the actors are really turned on by each other. Maybe it's the fact that they come armed with erections before even touching each other. Maybe it's the long and passionate kissing that take place with the sex. (And btw--If you're tryin' to get my D*ck hard, there need's to be some kissing in the scene--even if it's just pretend kissing.) Maybe it's the fact that the Director has to keep discreetly reminding the actors that he's trying to film this Sh*t for optimal audience visuals 'cause the actors keep getting carried away and forgetting about the camera. But, somehow--at least in your mind--it's feels real!

And THESE are the scenes that get saved in the "hot sex" compartment of my secret "hard drive." These are the scenes I watch with a potential sexual partner. These are the only scenes I ever seek to emulate when I'm with someone in real life--whether it's with a partner or a hook-up. Am I successful in those endeavors? Well.... sometimes.

We have to remember that as crazy as it may sound, those are professionals (who are in most cases under the influence of something to relax and go as long as they do). It's almost like going to an Independent Artist's first live show ever and expecting the fire works of a Beyoncé experience. I think people should do whatever they're into as long as they're both enjoying it. For me porn has been a way to get ideas for spicing things up but it's definitely nothing to aspire to in my opinion...

 

Porn for me is use as a tool and entertainment. We can all learn something from porn or get ideas for things to try or not to try in the bedroom. I have had this conversation with some of my gay and straight friends both female and male. It all has boil down to this, everyone uses it to get off, to learn from, or explore their own sexuality and sexual desires.

 

Totally agree with IWBAIA. I think porn is for sure just Entertainment. And shouldnt be looked at as reality at all. However, it can come damn close when two people are hot for each other. I have had sexual experiences that a knew as it was going on it could be a scene on MyVidster. But I dont do casual hookups, so it was people I had feelings for and they had feelings for me and the moment was, we HAD to have each other. So it was primal and organic, thus making for a HOT ass freak scene.

 

NOT! Most positions are designed for clear camera visibility. Many look like they are in pain. It seems hot UT most reinforce the traditional gender roles in the bedroom.
