Is Oovoo Used for Other Purposes?

    I have a "friend" that I met on social media a couple years ago and we like to cam every once in a while. We've always used ooVoo and since I only use ooVoo for that with him and other "friends" I've met, I generally associate ooVoo with explicit conversations/activities most people would not engage in on Skype, Go-To-Meeting (lol) or any other webstreaming service.

    So my question is, does anyone use it for anything other than that? I never used ooVoo on my phone before, so got a good laugh out of the folks from my contact list who I saw had an ooVoo account. It was a pretty typical list with guys and a couple females I've met at some point. But there were three in particular that stood out: a girl I grew up and was next door neighbors with for most of childhood (always knew she was a freak), my SISTER, and the pastor of a church I used to play for.

    I used to use ooVoo...it was before Facetime was available on all iPhones so me and one of my homegirl's used to video talk on there.... Once Facetime became big, I deleted it from my phone, forgot all about it until now...Never thought about it being used for explicit stuff...I thought that was what Snapchat and Kik was for...

    I've used oovoo until I finally got a skype. Other purposes? I mean I know people used it like a sex cam app. I didn't realize kik turned into something explicit until this year.
    What's funny is... I thought all of these were family-friendly services. Kids are on there you know.

    This is so funny. I was literally introduced to the "dark side" of both oovoo and kik just the other week. A kik bud added me to a group bate via cam and my eyes were opened to this whole hidden community of explicit users. The social psychologist in me is so curious to dive more into the scene and see what its like. I'll update as a investigate further, for "research purposes" of course. ;)

    My ex used to want to video chat on it when he was out of country. I use Android and he was on iPhone so it was not platform specific. I didn't like it because it had location listed when you chatted.

    I'm pretty sure all the apps like that have a significant percentage of users who use it for bussin em out.

    I remember a girl asked me if I had FaceTime and I was like...with is that? New FaceBook or something?

    My entire OoVoo list were of some body part... I always though Oovoo was JackinCam.

    I had no idea Kik is that graphic now...I don't use SnapChat either. I thought it was a kids thing but now the force has opened my eyes..

    That's the ONLY thing I've ever used or known Oovoo to be used for. I've partaken my fair share of times lol. It's a good way to get a nutt while single and not adding bodies lol.
