So, I'm a self-admitted borderline Kanye stan, so let me get that out of the way, but all jokes and biases aside, I think it's a phenomenal album. It's like College Dropout lyrics over Yeezus (which is an album I love, even though most hated) beats. The writing and production is so good. Kanye said it was like a gospel album, and he was right. It took me forever to just move passed the first song, Ultralight Beams.

Kelly Price is singing her face off, Chance the Rapper spit the best bars I've ever heard him spit, and that prayer by Kirk Franklin was right on time.

My favorites on the album are: Ultralight Beams, Highlights and Famous.
    Least favorite: 30 hours

So, what are you guy's thoughts on the album? Love it, hate it, indifferent? Favorite and/or least favorite tracks?

You LIKED this review. Yikes, I feel like that's very telling lol. While he had some very valid points, the overall tone, to me, was that of someone who's over Kanye the person and may be letting that skew his judgements. I don't think he gave much credit to Kanye fans and acts as though we can't disseminate good music and just want the spectacle. I know I for one aren't here for any of that. I just want the music, and I got it, and I was pleased.

Hate it. I too use to be a big Kanye fan. Even to the point where I stood in line at a CD signing for his second Album to meet him, and i purchased 2 CDs. This album is garbage. It is nothing new, hot or exciting. His rhymes are elementary and irrelevant ... my point of view, but he is like Janet to me now - just give us the old stuff and new forays into music should be reconsidered. He owes me a few dollars for listening to this garbage.

I definitely enjoyed it! I think though when you build something up for so long and it finally is released after far too long it loses that luster and folks start judging the work a lot more critically. It was a dope album. Not sure if there's many singles you can pull out of it but as a collective body of work it works.

It was continuously playing in my car as I was driving to work: it's good just like I would expect from Kanye. Did I just hear Frank Ocean sing??

I completely agree. IDK if he has any singles actually, even the songs he could choose would be bleeped to oblivion and shortened, which would take away from it. More and more popular artists seem to be releasing albums filled with songs that they want to make, rather than songs that would be more catchy & radio friendly, which I appreciate.

Indeed you did lol. I'm sick of him, going into hiding, popping up on random hooks, but not releasing his own music.

I think i am at the point where not only am i over Kanye, but his current and future music, as well. Since i hated his last album Yezus, i was having high hopes for this new album. After getting half way through the life of pablo, and figuring out the vibe this albun will have, i no longer had the desire to continue listening.
Before turning the album off, i decided to skip to the song that had my ex husband, Frank Ocean. Didnt care for that song neither. And though, i someehat enjoyed frank oceans, small part of the song, i really wish that he wasnt on it.

I've been playing it almost nonstop since it started streaming on Tidal. FML is my favorite. Feels like it could have been a lost track to 808s & Heartbreak. But Highlights, Ultralight Beam (Chance is one of my favorite rappers), Real Friends all fiyah. Kanye is the most consistent hip hop "album" artist. This is number 7 and hasn't released a brick yet.

In Response to my Janet comment - Unbreakable was good. I love, love the title track. I even sold some ding dong to get some $$$ to see her in concert... She lost me right around the time she was dating Jermaine Dupree. Her music suffered and so did her career. She owes me for all the $$$ I spent buying album after album to hear her moan and finger herself with sub-par music.

I like the old college dropout Kayne West music. I do like he was able to create his fashion line and his doing a video game based on his mom in heaven. I was great to see all the black models and seeing them dance at the end of the show. Hes living his dreams and doing what a lot of rappers and artist wish they could do. I like all hiphop but some of hit I can only take in doses. I lean toward more Common, kenndrick lamar, Nas, Andre 3000, Joeybada** type rappers.

I definitely enjoyed The Life of Pablo. The title threw me off but it had me a question mode like how great this dude life should be for Kanye to compare his entire album to lol. It was nice. Kanye is the true definition of a artist, hate it or love it. Ultralight Beam is pretty dope. Great Production. Great features at the right time. Shoutout to Chance the Rapper. The Collab with Chance and Kanye (Ultralight Beam, Waves). Throughout the album, Im always questioning is Kanye is the biggest asshole or just brilliant to the point of offending the less creative. I want that Life like Pablo lol

    First post an shit

This album is dope AF. Love it. I've liked all his albums. As time keeps going I realize Ye is a tourtured artist. Older Gen Y cynic. Everyone keeps wanting that old college dropout Kanye but I dont think he ever strayed from that. He just evolved. I like how Pablo plays like a mixtape. Im old enough to remember what actual mixtapes sounded like so I can appreciate it. Its not singles driven and plays like a real hip hop album.
