    Wait, you guys actually thought this was real and that Chick Fil'a had bought that entire square block?

    Dugans has been there for decades, still doing great business and has multiple locations. If anything that abandoned hotel next to it would be bought and torn down before Dugans.

    Chick fil A wouldn't need to purchase the property. It would simply need to have a cozy relationship with a potential developer to secure a lease on a small parcel of property. There are 8 construction cranes within blocks of my condo so development in Atlanta is definitely hot. Given the current pace of development, I don't really feel gullible in this instance, just a twinge of happiness that I'm not losing yet another spot to occasionally hit up.
