Tyler Perry’s New Black Gay Sitcom “Tony and Dave”

 

Came up with this after reading thread and taking a deuce, sets of push-ups and water the backyard.

Mine would be an HBO type violent urban sex drama about choices that opens to husky voiced female saying little f@ggot and laughing.

a mid age dude raised up by a former hood ho is recently out of jail in conflict over dealing with is his now strictly male upon male feelings and trying to stay away from that old life that seems to be the only way to survive and finds out his late teens super senior son who was mostly raised up by the same streets and by his former ho mama she is now turned to a triple b pothead (bible, 'betes, and bad wigs) is also involved with the same dude that he had feelings for in lock up, who was released a few years earlier, who managed to turn his life around and is trying to straighten out the son's life.
Before and while he was away, men together was a shameful back room or alley, park or train station secret and to come out now and find semblances of acceptance when he can't accept himself or his sons choices would be the major driving force behind most of his decisions.

His motivation is that he wants that old thing back with his prison love that's involved with his son who he wrestles with his love and jealousy of, his hatred and yearning for his mom's love and acceptance while attempting to relearn how to live life outside without going back to the familiar easy ways while dealing with lecherous parole officers, not being young buck anymore, an entry level minimum wage job with lots of fit young dudes hooking up, old debts to be repaid and lots of flashbacks to his youth with even more d!ck, @ss and death!
So don't go getting too attached to characters.
I'd cast Michael Kenneth Williams as The Father and round out the cast with Cypher Avenue members and the founders

 

Looking at the Microscopic Monsters @Ockydub made gets me also thinking of an updated gay Dr. Cyclops movie remake. Dr. Cyclops (1940) - IMDb
3 couples out camping meet nice hot mad scientist in wood who invites them back to see his luxury cabin and drugs and shrinks them down and they have to survive (most not) in his terrarium of horrors.
Lots of R rated nudity, scenes of survival sex and action.

One couples love for each other and fitness makes them the most likey to survive...or does it?
@SB3 and Trevor Jackson would be perfect in the roles


The second couple who are volatile, reckless and ruthless and willing to do whatever it takes to survive, even if it means only one of them can make it.

The third couple are the sweet young, new relationship couple...both are easy eye candy/cannon fodder.

Dr. Cyclops, as a joke I'd cast Nat Parker and not tell him of the gay theme.

 

There are many black actors who will eagerly play rapists, murderers, psychotics, women/child beaters, gang members and physical assault bullies....but they WON'T play an upstanding gay character in a loving relationship. That is the one role that goes against their moral principals.

 

Very true. Shit, Jussie Smollett has gotten hounded, stomped on, and shamed being a gay man playing a gay character. Even him kissing Alicia Keys in a scene didnt. The homophobia was poppin. A lot of straight actors dont want that to happen to them, on top of not wanting people to think they are gay. They wont even take a role of a gay man who was platonic like the dude in Spin City. There have been some straight actors like the dude playing Wade in Noah's Arc and others who were bold enough to ACT with no reservation, indred. However, the entertainment business is not too different than our world actually.

 

Lol @SB3 would have to look for another acting partner, bc Mr. Jackson made it clear on a Breakfast Club interview that nobody is touching his ass, not even females. I would not want to be in a casting call with his "That's gay" ass.

 

I would just settle for a reality tv show of 14 guys: 7 straight guys and 7 gay/bi dudes on a deserted island for 6 months and no conjukle visits from the opposite sex. For the gay?bi dudes, for each challenge they win, a straight dude must have sex with them. For the straight dudes, if they masturbate, they are automatically disqualified.....LMAO

I'm a straight up business dude. I'm the go-getter make shit happen gay...lol I would love to be represented in the scene more. I don't do hair and I'm not a fashion designer. I'm just a business owner, author, and speaker. For me, we need to represent the gray areas between black and white (the extremes). It's where the real and more regular people dwell. Masculinity is an expression of heteronormative thought and the gays just eat it up like hotcakes.
