I thought about that too, cos it's very easy to slip into how it was before.

Wow, that really sucks. There are so many things that factor into the mentality of men when it comes to sexuality. The overall self esteem of men needs to be a lot higher, but again I do understand why some men "move the way they move." Doesn't make it right though.

    I'll keep this short...

    I don't have any gay friends...lol!

I've had a few associates throughout the years, but never any "roots" like Madea said. Btw, that is a CLASSIC Madea clip. There are nothing like the PLAYS!

UPDATE: THIS POST SHOULD HAVE COME WITH A DISCLAIMER!!!
That is, in trying to make gay friends you would loose many gay ''friends'' that you have. Let me explain, so I told the gay friends that I have( we have not hooked up, however we are flirty and there is always that 'maybe' or 'what if' in the air around us) that we should remove anything sexual between us and just be good friends to each other. 98% of them jumped ship. One said ' I think we should cool things between us and not talk for a while' mind you for this particular dude ALL our conversation have always been casual and nothing even leaning towards flirty or even a whiff of it...smh
So now I am watching what will happen to the remaining 2%.

lol that's just how gay friends are, there's always the possibility of something sexual, flirting, but the difference between them and your main is that you know who is mate material. Maybe you should just put less weight and meaning towards sexual stuff, that what I'm trying to do.

Two of them. I wish I had gay friends growing up because i always thought that i was the only gay person i knew. Hanging out with them made me realized that there are some out there to where my gaydar obviously don't work, unless they're feminine. I always got that people think I look geekish since i wear glasses. But I'm grateful for my two friends.

I have had 2 good friends that now self-identify as gay. One of which I've known since middle school and one I've known since he pledged my fraternity. I'm close to both and for me although there might've been some sort of attraction it was always platonic. For them they both have tried crossing that boundary more than once and I had to kind of restructure how we dealt with one another. I'm not willing to sacrifice a great friendship for a sex/relationship type of deal that may not pan out but I've noticed most don't care. About 90% of my friends are straight identified dudes and it's sometimes just simpler hanging with them because I know there's no expectation or possibility of it turning sexual whereas my female friends or gay/bisexual friends closeted or not I believe someone is going to take that chance and make it awkward because I try not to cross that line.

I think many have to figure out what qualities they value in a mate and which they value in a platonic friend. I think too many blur that line and it often goes sexual and then down hill. I have two delegate expectations for someone I'm interested in and someone I'm seeking friendship and I pursue the situations accordingly.

Finding TRUE friends in the life is tough. First of all, you have to be fukable to be a true friend for a lot of these dudes. They gotta wanna fuk u. Then gay men carry a lot of drama and BS. A lot of men in the life have issues because of what some of us endured...so those issues are still there and they can affect developing relationships. Then if a dude likes u but ur "friend" likes him...they will pick u apart and feel some type of way. I would love to have friends in the life but its tough.

UPDATE: So I now have no gay friends, they have all fizzled out. The other day I was sitting in the park, watching people walk by mostly in groups or pairs talking, laughing, and play fighting I thought maybe just having gay ''friends'' is not a bad thing. We might be 'hook-up on occasion friends', 'some sexual tension btw us friends' 'might hook-up in the future, so keep him around friend' etc... but it beats sitting in the park alone on this wonderful summer day. Then I thought of calling them all up to try to get to be ''friends'' with them again, if that meant hooking up with some to get them back, so be it. But I just could not do it!
I am the kinda person that if I can't have the real thing, I just will not bother getting some compromised version of it.
So now I decided that the two amazing Straight friends that I have will just have to do. I will spend time growing, strengthening and improving those relationships.
