But, what specifically is it that ppl hate so much about tramp stamps? Is it just the obvious and Im over thinking it?

 

Tramp stamps on dudes are an instant erection killer... I can deal with some balding... I think bald niggas are sexy... Love me a milk dud head

 

Yeah if your hair is receding you might as well give it up and be bald. Idk what people be fighting to hold on to, just cut your hair and grow a beard lol

 

Yeah the receding hairline I can deal with. Can't really do anything about it but just shave it.

I have never understood why anybody would get a tramp stamp or bunch of ugly random tattoos on ur body. Do they understand that they are not good to look at n are permanent.

Lol both my dad and my first boss out of college (black elected official)rocked that Sherman Hensley look back in the day. I think it said “established married black man that doesn’t need to give a shit” in the 80s. Being a Michael Jordan went-bald-young club myself, I had a white female coworker once tell me and another bald black male coworker that black men always look sexy bald. I asked what about bald white guys, she said “no, they just look like limp dicks”...So many confusing signals...I digress

Hate tattoos in general. Down with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson tats if they’re artistic, symmetrical and match skin tone. Not down with the ex-con, name on neck, entire first few paragraphs of text from New Testament on you lats arms or legs, bathroom wall graffiti, random classified ads in newspaper looking tats...

Curious: @OckyDub you down with phones in locker room? I know all those tumblr and instagram towel-around-waist, flexing bicep pics don’t come out of nowhere but I always had problems with cell phones in gym locker rooms for privacy reasons (or assholes in restrooms who continue cell conversations while taking a shit in the stall next to yours...)

 

The bald thing is a plus for me. I like that look. All the men I have had the best sex with were bald. Just saying.

As for the tramp stamp, Hell ----NO. Miss me with that shit. A huge turn off.

But im also kinda judgmental with the kind of tats dude have in general. I like tats, but I really appreciate dudes that have excellent taste and quality with their tats. If I see any STARS or PAW PRINTS more than likely he wouldn't be my type.

 

As a man with a daddy inherited "big forehead" since birth, I can deal with a pushed back hairline...I don't mind baldness except when dudes don't know when to let go. The problem I have is the guys with thinning hair up front and they try to brush it to spread evenly. I just looks bad.







Then again, the pushed back hairlines that are basically sitting on the top of their heads is a no-go as well:

I said this in a previous post. We have to remember it might not be dermatology sound for them to shave. If they have an issue w/ ingrown hairs. Then what do they do?

Donnell Whittenburg faces this issue. I would assume he sees a dermatologist.

 

Now, dermatological issues are one thing. I just assume Donnell is around too many yppo in the gym who don't know no better...

Not to mention, and maybe it IS just me, but as someone who's been cutting hair since I was in college, I've never met anyone who can't handle being shaved down to a buzz, if not able to take a t-outliner.

 

Since there's universal consensus on dudes with tramp stamps, I'll keep talking about hairlines.

Fortunately my hair is still full and thick at my age, but I def feel for dudes struggling with with male pattern baldness. Hell, I feel for some women too. I got a couple aunties who have more hair on their chins than on their heads. Thank goodness for wigs.

What do you guys think about the Hair Fibers that barbers are using nowadays for hairlines and beard lines? I bought a bottle for the small patches in my beard but haven't really used it yet.

 

Why do you need hair fibers if you have a full head of hair?

The problem with all of these hair fibers, bigen, male quick weave fades is this stuff isn't permanent which means that as soon as you hop in that pool at the pool party, you back to square one. Not to mention, it's gonna make you look silly when you have to explain to the dude you talking to that your head really does look like mange. I often hear men complain about meeting a chic out in public who has long hair, flawless skin, thick eyelashes, full lips etc. only to wake up to someone that looks like Chris Rock. I think dudes should just shave it off and keep it moving.

1) Black ppl don't go to pool parties to actually get in the pool. You must thought this was Queerty for a second.

2) It really is a confidence issue, I think. Many years ago I was talking to this 26 year old dude who was going bald but fighting it. He would always wear a fitted hat until RIGHT before we got in the bed (in the dark). One day I mentioned that he always had his hat on and he took it off. Patches on his head looked like islands in the Caribbean, smh

 

See, this is why folk keep their fitted/stocking caps on inside. I bet you had your face twisted all kinds of crazy.

 

I wouldn't mind it if dude used it patch up some bald spots in his beard. Or was going to a special event like a i.e. wedding, fancy gala . Or dude just wanted something different for a day or so. But I would prefer he choose his "more natural" look most of the time.

It's really a sensitive issue. What's a brother to do?

I even fear it. I shaved my head bald 2 times as an adult. I look weird bald even ppl close to me have said it. I also have a huge forehead so I can't rock the sherman hemsley either. It would be a nightmare to have to shave my entire head multi times a week. smh

 

No shame in looking at cosmetic options if it starts to thin, if that helps. Just please don’t do a wig. Haven’t seen one wig for black men that looks remotely natural. Had one radical black professor in college who wore an Afro wig and the damned thing look like a black pencil eraser.

 

Sorry man, I misread this earlier. I see what you mean. My bad for coming off a way about something you were trying to explain was a sensitive issue for a lot of guys.

 

As a balding man I am now at the point where I've been shaving my head for over half my life.

I have thought about a trip to Bosley if I ever had the money to spend on it but unless I was going to rock a long hair style it would be more expensive for me to have hair Weekly or bi weekly cuts, having to schedule them, traveling to and from the barber tipping said barber etc . . .just not worth it. I probably spend 100 a year on blades, Ivory soap, alcohol, peroxide, Bactine and tea tree oil to keep my dome smooth. Not to mention the time I have saved. I can shave in the shower or as a separate process on a whim.

Now I have pondered the scalp tattoos but since I'm still growing hair on the sides I'd still have to shave. It definitely works for some guys and probably would require me to shave less per week but I'm not likely to go that route but I am not ruling it out.

AFA facial hair goes not everyone is going to be hirsute and able to rock a thick beard. I am one of them. So I keep my facial hair low. I'll go dirty beard, stubble, five o clock etc. You can taper it and fade short hair and it'll still look good.

When in doubt grow it out as much as you can then go to a barber and have them hook it up. Then you just need to learn how to maintain that on your own or use that as a base for your style.

 

I see a lot of sexy bald men, you can't always control what hand life deals you, but you can control your reactions to that hand and strength of character is way sexier than a fresh fade or a sexy bald bullet shaped head.

A tattoo is a clear public expression of your priorities and interest, I say more power to you, express yourself.

That tramp stamp tattoo, that's another matter. Listen, I'm not tramp shaming, I own my inner tramp, at times in my life and I have done things I probably should be embarrassed about, if I could work up a good...I give a fuck... The problem I have with the tramp stamp in particular, right or wrong, is that it say's I see my self as defined by my sexual position/interest and only a limited social intercourse with me is ever to be expected.
I find that a very limiting label for me as a man, a gay man who would like at least entertain the possibility of developing a deeper a relationship with another man that goes beyond fluid exchanged and sexual intercourse. Even if the dude with the tramp stamp becomes ready for a deeper relationship, with that permanent stamp its like he's trying to sell a house with a builtin swimming pool, he starts out having already lost 70% of the potential market....
