    The cannabis industry is quickly becoming one of the most lucrative ventures across the country. From CBD distributers to actual medical clinics, check out this list of black-owned businesses in the U.S.

    Mary and Main
    Located in Prince George’s County, Maryland, this dispensary is co-owned by formed WAGS star Hope Wiseman. Hope is currently the youngest dispensary owner, and Mary and Main is Maryland’s first Black-owned dispensary. You must first have a medical certification to receive products or treatment from the business.

    Supernova Women
    While this is not an actual dispensary, it is necessary for those wanting to learn more about the industry. Supernova women is a nonprofit created by women of color, for women of color to learn how to become shareholders in the cannabis industry.

    District Growers
    Corey Barnette founded this Washington, DC business. District Growers cultivate and extract their own special blend of cannabis in addition to providing edibles and cannabis flowers. You can find cookie dough, butters that they have titled ‘buttahs,’ as well as granola bars.

    Whoopi and Maya Medical Cannabis
    Whoopi Goldberg collaborated on this business that provides medical cannabis to help women with their menstrual pains. The products are available in certain retailers in California and Colorado currently. The pair offers a lavender cannabis infused bath soak that provides relaxation while also helping to relive aches and pains.

    This is one of the only places where you can have a five-course cannabis-infused meal. Chef Miguel offers invite-only guests a fine dining experience using canna-oils and butters. The experience is in New York, and the company also offers other products such as cannabis candles.

    This family-owned practice was started in Oregon by former anesthesiologist of 35 years, Dr. Janice Knox. She now runs her nationwide clinics alongside her daughters, Rachel and Jessica, as well as her husband. The practice offers cannabinoid care to patients looking for cannabis medical treatment. They have now expanded to over 19 states, and they also offer online care.

    Simply Pure
    This dispensary has been deemed one of the best dispensaries in Denver. Owners Wanda James and Scott Durrah are military vets who aim also to help other vets within their business. The company offers customers everything from CBD oils to marijuana-infused jams and granola bars.

    Stash Twist
    Andrea Unsworth is the owner and operator of this non-profit located in the East Bay. She takes pride in selecting the best cannabis flowers for her products. She offers products ranging from loose-leaf herb and lollipops to infused protein bars and topical creams/rubs.

    Viola Brands
    This nationwide brand was co-created by former NBA star, Al Harrington. He was inspired to start the company after having his grandmother Viola to try cannabis for her glaucoma and diabetes. She was able to find immediate relief. The company now provides products that are created from their own extraction techniques.

    BotaniQ Detroit
    After being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, Anqunette Sarfoh decided to try cannabis to help with her treatment. After seeing how effective the plant was, she sought to open her own business. BotaniQ uses the latest strains to provide products to heal and provide relief while also educating on its effects.
