    Christmas comes early this year!

We will be blessed with yet another African American LGBT reality show web series set in Atlanta! The world needs to see how gay men of color in Atlanta REALLY live and thankfully we have content creators out there who will tell the truth about our “truth!”

Finally a series will stop pretending that Hotlanta LGBT men of color have boring regular lives! No…we don’t slave away in dead-end corporate America careers, we don’t struggle paying bills, we don’t have straight male friends, we don’t play sports, we don’t have lack fabulous, social lives and we damn sure don’t live past 40 years old!

In actuality, we’re all young men who are into photography, fashion and style! The new docudrama “Industry Guys Atlanta” premiering December 7th 2015 finally shows the reality of our lives!

All jokes aside, this series produced for the online network Dream Nation TV doesn’t pretend to represent all of the LGBT Atlanta community. In fact this is a spin-off of an existing series called “Industry Guys Philadelphia” which ran for 2 seasons online last year. The show specifically focuses just on men who work in the world of making others look good.

Also, the show doesn’t seem focus on the LGBT aspects of the men featured on the show. To be honest, these men might not even be gay. Let’s go with that. These are all heterosexual black men who happen to work in the fashion industry and are featured on a reality show. Yeah, let’s go with that.

If you’re into men’s style lifestyle from a (possibly) LGBT point of view, this new series may just be for you. You can catch the show on December 7th here on their YouTube page.

In the meantime, check out the teaser and extended trailer below:

As exhausting as this show might be I will give it a chance like I do most shows. I'm shocked as much as gays watch Bravo that there is no show like this. I would think it'd be successful.

I'll check it out. I hope that there's no one behind the camera saying, "Lets do what they do on the Real Housewives of Atlanta or Love and Hip Hop..." If that happens, I'm tapping out HARD! #QualityOverBS

I swear...I feel awkward being one of the 16 gay black men in this country who don't have arched eyebrows. And about the tight v-neck t-shirts...oh nevermind.

I just don't know. "photography, fashion and style" While not to put a damper on individuals that have careers in fashion, this is just another show that will essentially "typecast" gay/bisexual men. I'm an IT guy and I live my career.. it's exciting to me. Where am I represented. I mean really? How many of us have careers in these areas? How often do you hear the young bois talking about, "I'm a model" or "I'm an actor". That is likened to "I wanna be an NBA player". I mean, there are dreams and there are fantasies. Dreams being something you truly love (not just infatuated with because of the potential fame & fortune) and a fantastic being at the top of the food chain in a popularity contest.

I agree. I really don't think that people who are working for network television companies care to want to do shows, reality or otherwise, about people (men and women) doing anything in other career fields, because they simply don't think it's "entertaining". And when it comes to reality tv, it's about putting people on camera to be "celebrified", even to the point of making it seem as though the people shown actually have a career.

The downside is people who take reality tv seriously actually thinking that everything they see is REALITY beyond seeing it on a show. And that's when REALITY checks them and it all sets in.

I do notice that in general men aged 29 and under seem to be more gracious and open-minded when it comes to these black gay reality and scripted web series...This thread kinda reinforces that notion. Maybe us older heads are jaded.

LOL.... I sure am.. Nah. I think it just has more to do with our experience. When we older dudes were coming up, you didn't see many images of gays, unless they were flaming queens (Except Stephen from Dynasty). And even then, there were no on screen kissing. While being gay and out still has it's challenges, it is just not the same. I mean, the President of the United States, Mr. Obama is doing the cover of a gay magazine!!! What that will do for the psyche of gay people.. and especially gay black people is amazing.

If i remember to watch the dang show I will check it out, but shows like this gets old real quick. It would be nice to see a show about regular people dealing with being gay and not necessarily in "showbiz". For me it may satisfy those with little to no life watching ratchet reality tv like its TD Jakes or Joel Osteen. I do miss the days of Noahs Arc where you knew what to expect and liked it. Here's to hoping that more shows come about that chronicle those who are gay, masculine, hard-working, creative, eye brows untouched , average shaped, intelligent, well-spoken/eloquent, and still cute or fine! lol. (Sent off into the Universe as he goes to take a shower).....

Maybe I am confused? How many people in Atlanta work in Photography, Fashion, and Style? Is there really a market industry for those kinds of Jobs? I mean I can understand there being a lot of fashion types in LA or NY but Atlanta? That is interesting to me. I feel like the vast majority of people don't have those kinds of jobs.

Although, I don't necessarily think that pursuing a career in the Arts or Artistic field is not necessarily a bad thing and I do think a lot of people take it seriously and try to break in or breakthrough. With respect to the OBVIOUS type casting, it really does annoy me that black gay professional characters are one of five varieties: Music Industry, Pseudo-Intellectual (i.e., Professor Black Man), Fashion/Social Media Guru, Professional (Finance and Legal),, and the Dreaded Entrepreneur (that has a job no one gets). All of the sophisticate black gay characters usually fall into one of those characters.

I just want to let every gay man know, they do not need a reality show. It's ok. We know you are interesting and amazing...but we don't need to see it.
