I hate when people try apply heteronormative gender roles and relationship rules to homosexual relationships. That said I think you should make your mate feel special and meat his needs. But he should also do the same for you. I think the key to making a gay relationship work is to share household duties, and adjust according to the strengths and weaknesses of your partner. Also you gotta know when to spoil him and when to give him space.
