    Ok, they call themselves the Republican Party, but still, in holding hearings on Capitol Hill tomorrow, they're trying their damnednest to prove that they're only slightly better dressed and showered versions of their Old World, Eurasian homophobe counterparts.

    I wouldn't be surprised to find out that, like so many white male Republicans we've seen,?there might be some boy toy in the background somewhere who will eventually flush out Chaffetz as a self-hating, closeted homosexual. I'll look forward to the press conference as he cries and asks for The Lord's forgiveness while pulling short and curlies from between his teeth. Can we just call bullshit on people in the 21st Century who use religion as a license to discriminate and oppress? Who and where are all these supposed Christian Martyrs in the U.S. that are being flogged, stripped and deprived of their freedom because of The Gays?

    I think it's high time that we started accurately describing these people- as chauvinistic Christianists. To explain, Islam is to Islamist as Christianity is to Christianist. Yeah, I'm going there, cuz you know it's true.

    The far-right wing has done terrible things to this country. One of the worst is that they have sullied the word "American" by claiming that they are the only real ones. Another is that they would enshrine their discrimination if given the chance. Both are contemptible.
