Yeah. There is a difference between guys that know that bottoming is just a sexual option and "lifestyle bottoms" that characterize themselves with exaggerated mannerisms and characteristics. You see lifestyle bottoms posting weird comments on Myvidster about the lack of "true tops" or how they're disappointed or even disgusted upon seeing a presumed top bottom, like the porn star mentioned in a CA post who apologized to his fans after filming a bottom scene. Lifestyle bottoms seem like they're adopting the mindset of stereotypical "strong, independent" reality stars or the more visible feminine gays and taking the attitude up a notch. I occasionally see lifestyle tops commenting that bottoms shouldn't be touching their dicks at all during sex or that the bottom is there only to serve their needs and should expect no reciprocation besides getting topped.

The notion that a sexual position should define you leaves a lot of people feeling lost and confused in their early lives, or emulating the behavior that has been ingrained in their minds as gay behavior. Nothing wrong with a bottom who happens to be a loud, proud fem guy, but behave that way because it comes naturally to you, not because of societal pressure. Of course, there are bottoms who do enjoy having submissive personalities or roles, and tops that have more dominating personalities that can accommodate them, but people should acknowledge that roles are not universal and approach people as individuals rather than basing assumptions on a sexual position.
