Gym members creeped out by secretly recorded videos

An unfortunate side effect of our technologically "advanced" society. I just don't understand the incessant need to post any and everything one encounters on a daily basis. If you gonna check a dude out, why do you need to film him and then WHY do you need to post the shit? I personally dont care if Im filmed but I have a slight exhibitionist streak. Im not keen on being plastered all over YouTube, WorldStar, and/or PornHub but, it is what it is. But everybody ain't with that shit and gay dudes gotta be more respectful of boundaries. They should start making people check their phones in at the front desk.

 

See that's why I try to limit my time in the gym locker room. People are too creepy these days.

 

Yep. The advent of these small HD cameras. It doesn't even have to be a phone. I'd be lying if I said I didn't mind the occasion peek at a dude but I'm not interested enough to want to stare.

But as mentioned, I don't see the need for people to share. If it's for your own excitement, that's one thing,the lesser of two evils, but to post it... That's really taking it too far.

And even if people don't mind being taped, you can't limit what happens after it's uploaded. 100 years from now people will be wankin off to our vintage porn.

I have a feeling some gyms are going to start banning cell phones to protect people from being recorded without their consent.

 

It's not just the gym though where you need to be wary.
There are creepers snapping pics everywhere nowadays, grabbing shots of stuff that shouldn't always be out there for public consumption.
Go to a gay event or place like a pride, a club, or an *adult* fare and your image is most likely out there.

 

Yea, I guess I'm that weird dude that don't give a fvck. lol. I know what I have and I'm not an exhibitionist, but I know that shyt is tight.

I always laugh at the dudes that are either gay or straight that put on their underwear with a towel on or take a shower in underwear or swim shorts. WTF!!! LOL. Im a grown man. To me thats some junior high little kid shyt. But I get it, maybe some are just not comfortable with their body, public nudity or whatever.

My thoughts are, if you pressed of enough to take a secret photo of me or whatever, Get Ya Life.
All you gonna say is that D&A and Body is RIGHT !!!

 

There is just increasingly a lack of privacy in society and a lack of respect for privacy. You leave your home and go just about anywhere to any business or shop or anywhere and you are most likely being recorded automatically. And that does not even take into account the creepers or those who feel like they can take anyone's pic in any situation and post it anywhere-they have no concept of privacy in their own lives(attention whores) so they cannot understand how the concept of privacy applies to others. They live their lives practically on camera so you must too!

I have been to a few different gyms over the past year. Two of them have postings in the locker room that ask patrons to not use their phones in the locker room. But that's the extent of any semblance of addressing this growing concern. No guarantee that you won't end up on somebody's tumblr with your chopper swingin'. Shit is cray.

 

This is how I feel lmao. I think this happened to me once though but I was working out at the time and I just didn't care enough to press the issue.

I do agree that it's a little sick in the head to be secretly filming people and posting but hey, if you like what you see...

...I will say though, I'm probably more creeped out by the dudes that won't stop fcking staring at you..like dude can I borrow my face back to finish my workout??

 

I see a lot of people mentions creepers, but I don't see the difference between this and people that randomly taking pictures in other public places of strangers. Bird watching, ass watching, etc.
